It is a re-post, but really a good deal. I placed order on Monday and got it yesterday. It runs pretty quiet. FRY'S has this for 50 something. ....Here Enjoy!

unfortunately, that isn't always the case. compare getting a no-name 19" monitor for $100 and a name-brand 19" for $200. they're both 19", but which do you think is better? i'm not meaning to thread crap, but think about it.

I ordered one of these last time it came up. It is running a dual 1800+ with no problems. Been about 3 months.

I thought about it and if the $100 no-name looks as good to me as the $200 then I'd say spending that extra c-note is somewhat of a waste...I could buy 5 of these powers supplies and even at an extremly pessimistic 6 months MTBF...that equals out to about 2 and a half years...

You don't ALWAYS get what you pay for, sometimes you can get more for less...

Says P2, P3 ready. I want to use it with a ASUS P4b266-C mb (P4), does it have the 12v motherboard connector, or will i have to use the ATX connectors solution that ASUS has to get power to the P4?

Doesn't look like it. They have a P4 ready 300W PS for the same price.

given that the power supply if the #1 component to fail in a computer, why go generic? yes i have seen a generic power supply fry one of my older computers... lasted roughly 2 years before it happened.

Got mine. Have not had time to plug it in but it is slightly heavier then my High Power 300W PSU so it may be decent but I don't have a scale to get real measurements.

Hmm maybe an exception to the rule. Usually you don't find that good of deal on a Quality PSU.

If you're scared of this power supply, then get the 300w AMD Approved one for $25. That's still a pretty good price.

Over the past year, I've built over fifty systems using PCAs LinkWorld Cases and Power Supplies. Decent company, and if you pick up the equipment up at their location, you save shipping. The screwless cases are real easy to work with. They're not built rock solid, but good enough. I've used their 250w, 300w, and 400w Link World Power Supplies and only one 250w blew out so far (which they replaced without problems). I've also bought their High Power Power Supplies as well. All are running fine (so far).
