That's where it makes sense to go with flourescent replacement bulbs.
I get mine at Ikea - cheap, and where I used to replace indancescents
on a monthly or so basis, I haven't replaced one of the fl's yet.

Which one is better?
the one from this company or the one from AccessMicro?

Any experience for this power supply?

Thanks.

I prefer linkpca, which always use fedex to delever. I have ordered from them several times and very satisfied with it.

Got mine from PCA today.

The case was bent due to poor packing. It was easily bent back into position because the metal is very soft.

This is a rather "cheap" power supply. The supply case is formed to have a grommet for the power wires, but instead of
a grommet, it uses a cable tie.

The PS has no power switch; instead, it has a power connector, the "covered" type (don't know the designation).

The supply works. The fan is louder than the Enlight 340W that it replaces.

Oh, yeah, one of the mounting holes was a "tad" off.

If I can, I'll put the guts of this PS into the Enlight case.

Would I buy another one?

No.

On second thought, I'm gonna get an Enlight PS from Newegg to replace this one.

It puts out so much RF noise that I can't listen to distant AM stations on my radio.

This PS is, IMHO, junk.

as an idea...

if u guys think the power supply is too loud, here is an idea

1) open the casing... this will void ur warranty
2) cut the red wire and the black wire and remove the fan.
3) install a sunon fan. re-sodder the wires back on
4) use heat shrink wrap so there are no loose wires.
5) a quieter powerful 400watt PS

just an idea..

Ok, here is my update on the LinkWorld Power Supply from PC Alliance. I waited about a week to give you this thinking the company would redeem themselves by doing right by me. Instead I was insulted and at least, givin' a refund. But I had to pay shipping to send it back and a restocking fee.

I wasted cash with these guys, PC Alliance on the LinkWorld, AND on top of that, I lost 256mb of Corsair ram.

The power supply had a bent pin on the end that plugged into the motherboard, which I didn't notice until after the fact. Five hours later, I'm out a stick of Corsair pc2100. So, I mail them, and they at first say, its my fault. I notice the bent pin, tell them, they say send it back. This is all after I told them I run a site in which I have a large audience.

So, I send it back and moments ago get a mail asking me to call. I tell them the issue, they say the thing is working properly. MY ASS IT IS. It ruined my stick of memory and wouldn't even run the OS because it wouldn't fit in snug because it had a bent pin!

The jerks!

Grrr, I'm pissed off now, and I really think had I gotten a straight Power Supply that the thing would have been fine and worked like a charm. However, I was disrespected, treated as if I didn't even lose my expensive RAM and spit upon. At least I got a refund. I still am plenty pissed.

Does the LinkWorld work fine? I'm sure it does granted you don't have a bent pin. How is the PC Alliance customer service? God forbid its their fault!

I tend to think I its a bit of both, they had the bent pin, I should have never even put it in there if it didn't fit in 100%, all of the way. So the least I could do is get a replacement.

I didn't get that. I'm ticked off.

I won't do any business with these people ever again.

PC Alliance has poor customer service and they treat you as if you are trying to scam them.

I still lost my damn Corsair, hopefully I can get it replaced!
