re-watching 24: season 1 - stunning revelation

Season 5 is the pinnacle of the series IMO. 6 falls off a bit but 7 and 8 are amazing in their own right. Dont forget the TV movie before 7 as well.

Season 5 closed out the best and maximized political intrigue. I found the opening to season six disappointing though; when you start setting off nukes to grab attention...

I watched all of 24 this winter. I thought season 2&3 were probably the best, season 4 was the worst (but still good). The final 2 seasons were awesome.

heh, season 6 was when I first started watching 24, after being randomly sucked in while out on a ski trip with some buddies.

So, I rather liked it. Then, after going through watching them all (round about the start of the final season), you realize how truly awful was season 6.

I watched the first 2 episodes of Touch.

Can't get into it because:

1--created by Tim Cring (Heroes). So it's lofty, complex, and will ultimately collapse beneath the clamorous interweavings of its absurd plots.

2--same panting, hurried, mumbly, and driven Jack Bauer-type, always running out of time--only this time, Jack Bauer gets sucker-punched by a filling station attendant and lies squirming on the ground like a little bitch. DO NOT WANT!

that said, 24 was an awesome show while it was on. i watched the first 3 seasons on DVD before season 4 started. it was much more fun to not have to wait a full week to watch the next episode.

as corny/cliche as the show became, it is still fucking awesome and extremely entertaining. i too liked the earlier seasons better, a lot because of the characters back then too.

I dont even remember how much I watched, but I am sure I finished Season 1 and I like it alot. Then the following seasons I tried to watch but lost interest.
