Premise: Roger Goodell is hurting the League by changing catch rule so often that the excitement at any given game is the wait for New York replay to rule as the greatest fans no longer KNOW what a catch is.
Huh?

GB wouldn't complain about no flip otherwise..
It was the same side both times, Arizona won both times.

Though Rodgers is a little unhappy he didn't get to pick a new side when they reflipped. Not sure why, he just thought he should have been asked to pick again.

I really wish they would modify the OT rules in the post season to ensure both teams get the ball at least once.

No way. Defense is an equal part of the team, and those guys have their job to do as well. The current OT setup is perfect. All they have to do is stop a team from driving the field for a TD.

Okay, but as you can see you didn't mention anything about who they beat... All you said was they had a very easy schedule. If that's true (which I disagree with), then Patriots had an even easier one.

If you meant most of their wins didn't come from good teams, then that's true... but it's not what you said and would be back pedaling at this point. It also doesn't change that KC had a more difficult schedule, regardless of how they handled it.

I was talking about them being fools good in terms of the media hype based on their 11 game win streak on the back of bad teams. I spoke about it earlier in this thread as well.

So was the Pats team who was 16-0 and lost to the Giants on the David Tyree helmet catch "fools gold" or just unlucky that game (albeit that game being the Super Bowl)?

At any given moment the game stops and we all hold our breath as the Replay tells us what we just saw, and was explained to us by announcers (supposed experts) and old referees. Still no one,no matter how long they have watched football, no matter their level of expertise, can be sure how they will rule this time. Smells like wrestling. Different outcomes for same transgressions. Dubious outcomes. Integrity of the Shield is called into question.

What are you trying to say? Are you trying to compare the chiefs to the 2007 Pats (whom some think was the best team ever)? Honestly, some of this Patriots hate is plain stupid.

Here is an article I posted before the game.

ARE CHIEFS BEING OVERRATED ENTERING DIVISIONAL GAME VS. PATRIOTS?

A couple of exerpts.

On paper the numbers say Kansas City is the best defense the Patriots have faced this year, but that might not actually be true.

The numbers get inflated because of the Chiefs beating up on some bad opponents
. The combined record of teams they have beaten over their 11-game win streak is 76-101. Prior to last week's win over Houston, they hadn't played a team that finished with a winning record since Week 10 against the Broncos.

and from the last paragraph.

The Chiefs have had a very impressive run, as winning 11 straight games in the NFL should never be overlooked, but they just haven't faced a team like the Patriots in that span. Also, New England matches up well against Kansas City in a number of areas. New England can stop the run with the best in the league, and Kansas City's defense can't do much if it isn't forcing turnovers, and the Patriots are stingy with the ball.

This isn't to say it will be an easy win for the Patriots, as the game isn't played on paper, but after taking a deeper look into the Chiefs' season, the Patriots likely only will lose if they beat themselves.

I agree. This seems worse than last year.

As that season progressed the games got tougher, NFL teams see what you are doing and try and adjust. What started out as blow-out wins became close games. When they played Baltimore they would have lost in fact, it was a 4th dwn desperation play and the Ravens broke up the pass, game over. Not so fast, Ravens defensive coach Rex Ryan had called TO milliseconds before the snap, trying to "ice" Brady. Given another chance Brady converted and the Pats won. Luck always plays a factor, how lucky were the Seahawks that a deflected pass goes straight up and lands in his lap so can complete a catch. How lucky were the Pats the Carrol tried to get cute with a slant vs letting BM run it in. Last night GB was lucky, (only briefly LOL) that their guy was in position to catch the hail-mary.

2015 NFC should be between Palmer, Rodgers, or Newton IMHO. Wilson should not be in the conversation. I'd give the nod to Fig Newton. Can't stand the guy but he has had his team on fire this year and he's done what is needed to win games. Palmer is a close second.

In the AFC, I'd give it to Brady. Hate the Patriots, but you can't argue that Brady hasn't done more with less and still has consistently won this year.

No way, it's easy to build a team that wins games in regulation with an excellent offensive and shit defense. Why should a team that has the ability to win games in regulation be punished in OT by a coin toss?

well that was quick. Seahawks have spotted the Panthers a 14-0 lead in the first couple of minutes.

OK, I can feel the wagon just got a lot lighter. But, man, this is just humiliating. This is just a sad affair now.
