You're really saying they were an average defense over the year? I agree this is an ugly game for them today, but over the season they were one of the top defenses in the league...

numbers-wise, which is how things like defense is rated, they were a top team. But I agree that when you look at actual performance, which actually matters, they've given up too many leads in the 4th quarter this year.

Another case of how numbers don't matter when the results are terrible.

But the Seattle D isn't bad; they just aren't as good as they have been in earlier years. A lot of that is due to the start this year, though, when Kam was out and because of injuries.

Do not disagree w/ that at all- they've been much better...just don't agree that they are average for the league.

Yea, it took an excellent catch on the on-sides kick to seal it, that guy got walloped just after getting the ball in his mitts, great job of catching (man that ball was tumbling!) and holding on. still puzzled that Carolina could not score anything for the entire 2nd half though.

IMO if your up 31 on a team you have a tendency to lose urgency, I think it happens on a subconscious level.

No, Wilson was not out there while the defense let the Panthers run without any resistance. They gave up some huge runs so I can't hang it all on him.

Pretty good game earlier, with Seattle choking in the 1st half and Carolina trying not to completely choke in the 2nd by scoring no points. J-Stew had the first 100yd game rushing against Seattle since Jamaal Charles in 2014. When Carolina is clicking in no huddle they are a force.

Would not have been me, for sure. It was all bonus after the regular season, they barely had the luck and some chops to make the second wildcard slot.

I'm just tired of the Seahawks. Am ecstatic that they're out of the postseason.

Too many games they let the other team making plays in the 4th quarter to win the game. So now they have to travel, instead of playing at home.

Seattle never plays well in the first half when they travel east and play the 10AM PST game. I don't think any west coast team does. I don't know why they schedule like that in the playoffs. Heck, I woke up at 10AM and I was still groggy. lol

Anyways, I knew they'd have to come back in the second half when I saw the schedule, but 31 was just too much. At least they made a game of it, but a big part of that was Carolina being up so much so soon and just coasting, then they couldn't get back in the groove. Carolina vs Arizona should be a great game.
