i've scoured the online world searching for someone who could adopt my stuffed animals. everytime, i went to vegas as a kid, i'd name the stuffed animals we had won on the ride back. then i'd take all of the good-looking ones and throw them under my covers. they slept with me until i got uncomfortable. then i'd take a few good ones. as i got older, i would do it with stuffed balls. when i stopped sleeping in my bed, i stopped needing them.

at about the age of 10, i realized i could play all my games by pretending other people and my dogs were playing. i did it with pool, basketball, juggling, hacky sack, and board games. i once played a 3-week game of monopoly by pretending the other player was my mom. by the end, i was writing dollar amounts down on paper because we had passed Go so many times.

From an outsider's perspective, I must have looked crazy. I sat in my room for hours physically shifting my bears from one position to the next, while the dialogue between them played in my head (I was never any good at doing stuffed animal voice--that was my brother's job). When I played Monopoly, I would roll the dice for my fuzzy friends and move for them. And when it seemed like they weren't looking, I would steal money from the bank. I'm sorry, I couldn't help it. Real people wouldn't tolerate that type of behavior. "

Seek counseling.

True, but it was funny. Syringer, please don't stalk.
