terrible case.
bad choice of PSU. seasonic s12/m12 series are superior.
so is memory. you could go with 533mhz or 667mhz. you wouldn't notice the difference unless you are a guru. i regret for buying 800mhz.
i would prefer western digital over seagate.

you should go with benq 20.1" widescreen lcd, it's cheaper than viewsonic.

as for the case, maybe look at a p180(B). It doesn't have a huge window or big shield in the front, but the ventilation is far superior (as is the build quality)

I agree with Juno on the monitor; you're paying too much. As for the hard drive, it's really just a matter of prefence. I'm a seagate fan, but everything works

Ditto about the monitor. Also, the speakers are good, but I would try for a set that uses standard bare wire. RCA cables arent ideal if you need to extend the run. Using fatter cables is usually a good idea, and with RCA, you can't increase the diameter of the entire cable - just the extension.

Otherwise looks like a badass system. You're going to love it Good luck building it!

is there much difference between a hard drive with 8MB buffer and 16MB buffer?

i ordered almost same rig as yours on friday (should be here by thursday) and i have exactly same hard drive as you...except mine is 8MB and yours is 16MB buffer

does anybody know if the difference is noticeable?

The Seagate with 16MB cache is ok for now. You can always get more later.

The Buffalo Ram is good and should OC farther tha other suggestions as it uses Micron D9 chips, though I'm using that G.Skill and it's fine. I would definitely NOT buy the Rosewill PSU, the higher end Xclio's are pretty good (Same as the TT Toughpowers) but I don't know about that one, with the 8800 video card you really shouldn't be skimping on your PSU (look for Enermax, Seasonic, Silverstone, Corsair, FSP or at least Antec). If you're not going to do some serious OCing then I'd buy a 965 Mobo and save a lot of money. And if you're going to be OCing then you need to pick up a better HSF. Also I'd say take the $70 you've got going to the sound card and put it into the Power Supply, the onboard sound on most high end Mobo's is pretty good these days (as long as it's not AC '97), and you can always add an aftermarket sound card later. If you really dig that case go ahead and get it, and it'll probably be fine, but you could do better.
