I heard on NPR while picking up the kiddos on the way home that they're talking of some sort of sharing with Reagan/Roosevelt on the dime!

You know I was thinking the same thing after hearing about the attempt to put him on the $10 bill or the Dime. I think the dollar would be the best option.

I did my part today at USPS, buying a book of stamp with a $20 bill and got changes in $1 coins.

So am I, but I could go with Spencer's idea of putting him on that otherwise worthless $1 coin. It would definitely get people to use it.

In general, I detest the side idea of renaming streets and structures for people as a king of instant, cut-rate memorium. It just pisses off the locals. Build something new and then dedicate it, if you really give a damn.

Edit: But I do think RossMAN's picture should be on the Staples $30 off $150 coupon. :laugh:

No kidding... I'm no fan of Reagan's presidency. But as long as I can the bills to vendors and get about $10 worth of stuff in return for each, they can put a picture of Barney the Purple Dinosaur on them for all I care.

Hamilton deserves to be there. He was one of the most important figures in our country's history as it was just getting on its feet. Reagan, although a very important figure in history, does not supercede Hamilton, Franklin, Washington, etc. If they want to do the $1 coin idea mentioned above, then that would be cool. Heck, I wish more people would start using dollar coins (I liked the larger ones, btw) or even a $2 bill like they used to print a long time ago. Those would be better options.

I think Reagan was a bad president and I don't think he deserves to be on a bill (I never bought that he single-handedly brought down the Soviets). I also don't think presidents should be the only ones to be on bills.

They should put Reagan on the $1 billion dollar bill. Because he spent so much money during his 2 terms. It would be great, every multi-billionaire would want to get their hands on one. Of course you might have your local lunatic try to cash a fake one in at your local walmart, that would be a good laugh. Pretty soon everyone would want a Reagan, or many Reagans.
