Ok, I have no idea why there seems to multiple deals of the day, but this is the official one on their homepage. Heavy-duty inkjet for workhorse printing, I have no clue as to its value or if there's an online review.

This is low quality output even compared to the cheapest printers you can buy such as the Lexmark Z-11.
If you needed a "workhorse" as stated earlier in an office situation then this might be an ok deal.

I guess the "1200 image quality" is the old "enhanced" trick everyone used to pull on everyone. The specs say 600 dpi, unless I missed something. If someone finds that this is the 1200dpi print engine then it is a much better deal especially for the large format.

If someone is looking for a cheap large format then the canon 5100 is usually found at a decent price.

single - I would keep an eye on the Hot Deals forum here. Your best bet for an entry level inkjet printer is the Epson 740 which you can usually get for around $55 shipped from Staples after coupon and possible Epson rebate.

If you want a deal on a laser printer, Buy.com recently had the NEC SuperScript 870 laser for $130 shipped - but that deal is dead.

How much do you want to spend?
What will you be using the printer for mainly?
Cheap color inkjet or laser printer?

You can't go wrong with Epsons!
Seems like I have seen some of the higher end models (860 maybe?) that have been showing up on clearance at nearly the same price as the 740. I just sold my 740 because it just didn't seem to have the quality of my Lexmark Z51 or Z52.

I have always been an Epson fan but I am impressed with the 900 series of HP's with the 2400 x 1200 dpi output. I picked up a clearance 932c at my WalMart yesterday for $90 regular $199. I already had the 930c from the free printer deal by e-stamp. These are absolutely the best printers at the $200 range. So if you can afford the extra bucks go for this one, it will take a while for this model to become old technology. (My walmart is moving to a new store and they are clearancing some items that they will not be selling at new location, so this is not a nationwide clearance as far as I know)

single - Not sure if you'll see this or not but you can purchase the Epson 860 for $40 after coupon and rebate, with free shipping from Onvia.com

The Epson 860 is leaps and bounds better than this Xerox, plus for that price you simply cannot resist it.
