Fake. What the hell is the point of cutting down a tree just to put in your living room? Besides, they make a mess and fake ones can be reused year after year.

HERE

I bought mine from a different site and paid $400.00 for it, but this tree kicks ass. It's a little much in the price, but it's on it's second year. With LED light's, I'm hoping for at least 5/7 years.

For those of you that like real/dead trees, and normal lights........ Look into LED/Fake trees.

On my 2nd year and no dead lights.

PS---- I had my tree up 'till March '08 and had it on when I got up, and turned it off when I went to bed.

i have no idea how anyone could think that a plastic tree is better for the environment than a real tree. you plant a seed, it grows, you cut it down, it turns back into dirt within a few years. vs running machines and burning fuels to make plastic trees, the fuel spent shipping them. i guess if you got money you can convince people of anything.

my ceiling is only 8' so i got a 8' real tree.

So, you go out in the woods and kill a living thing. Then you bring the dead carcass home, prop it up inside the house and hang ornaments and light on it? Pretty barbaric custom when you think about it.

if you look at it as if a tree were as valuable as a humans life and the quality of it.

if we looked at everything like that we would just have to suspend ourselves in mid air so we dont step on an ant, but we better not breath either because we might kill the air. i am all for conservation and preserving the earth for future generations but i also believe technology and intelligence is the way to do it. remember you are in a pre-warp society, we have a long way to go yet.

Read my original post.

The majority of live xmas trees are grown on farms. Farms that impact the environment much less significantly than vegetable farms. Tree farms harvest on a 10 year cycle so there is no erosion or nutrient issues. They require little to no fertilizer, support local economies, consume carbon dioxide and can be used in constructive and environmentally friendly ways after the holidays.

Yeah, our cat climbed the real tree, knocked it over and the water went all over the wood floor. That was our last real tree.
