For the assholes who do that, I start to pull up next to a semi. I act as if I'm going to pass it at crazy slow speed (barely going a mph faster than the semi) and then I don't. I go back and forth (before and after) the semi. I act as if you could get past me. I'm like, "Yeah, feel the burn, bitch. Oh, so close... you can almost, oh wait.. nope, nope! Want me to be an asshole? HERE WE GO AGAIN!"

It's very satisfying.

I don't usually ride people. I try to keep my distance. However, when I do that... people don't get the fuck over! What the fuck!? Then I have to deal with the assholes passing me to just ride the guy... then I'm pushed back even more. I hate that.

You are going to kill yourself and a truck driver one day doing that.

Since I drive in rush hour traffic a lot, I find people are far too gun shy to do lane changes. Flip your blinker on less than a second before you get into your lane. This way you obeyed the law and didn't allow someone to close the gap on you and if thy they try, then are forced to brake. Closing the gap when someone signals should be a crime. Jerks.

Anyway, I NEVER have an issue changing lanes. Of course, I plan ahead. I don't sit in the left lane and I don't dilly dally until 1/4 mile from my exit. I am in the correct lane long before my exit. I also see people changing lanes constantly and that pisses me off more than anything. So in rish hour traffic all that lane changing (whish ultimately slows down traffic and creates the rubber band affect) got him 5 cars head of me? LOL, way to go jerk. You just saved yourself 20 seconds of time while probably screwing over traffic behind us.

I am convinced that if lane changes like that were illegal, there would be less stop and go traffic it might be slow still, but it probably won't be erratic.

there wasnt even a 1/4 mile from the left turn i made to the right turn i needed to make. i didnt dilly at all, i could have got over immediately, but i would have cut the guy in my blind spot off. i was already doing 5mph over the limit, so i turned the blinker on hoping the guy would back off a tad so i can move over.

it was just stupid shit. i probably hit 75 when i floored it. its an area heavy with cops too. i fully expected a ticket, and i would have told the cop i just couldnt deal with idiots right now. i wouldnt have argued the ticket at all.

I can't imagine the amount of rage he is inducing in the truck driver, his unintended target. D:

yeah truck drivers really hate things like that, because they have no control in any situation. and theyre not the ones that will be dying... they will have to live knowing they killed someone even if they werent doing anything wrong.

So he cut the fine in half and you're bitching? Please take this to court so the judge can reinstate the whole fine.

Yup. Just pay the fine.

My traffic fines have been way higher so count yourself lucky it's so "low".

well, i got a speeding ticket just a few hours ago after going 7 years without one. i was driving down a stretch of highway at night in a construction zone. it's a 2 lane highway where the normal speed limit is 65mph and 55 mph during construction. the right lane had concrete barriers lined up next to it, the left did not.

anyway, i decided to drive on the left side as i didn't want to drive next to the concrete barriers. for some reason, they don't leave enough room to the road and i don't want to risk losing control and hitting the barrier. so i'm going about 60 in the left lane, roads are dead because its late at night. some jackhole going 70 tails me instead going around me. i just keep going thinking he's going to go around me. nope, after about 2 miles, he highbeams me to move. i speed up to overtake a car to get over and that's when a cop hiding somewhere clocks me and pulls me over. fack.

cop was surprising extremely polite. i expected him to tell me to stfu and point his gun at me. after i told him my side of the story, he apologized but still gave me a citation for going 17 over. he said he was going to waive doubling the fine for speeding in a construction zone. gee, thanks for nothing pal. now i'm going to be out a hundred bucks.

i have video of the guy tailing me. should i plead not guilty and take this evidence to court? should i just pay the fine and say fack it? somehow i have a feeling the cop is partially to blame for this. what should i do?

a hundred bucks? be happy you don't live in california

anyways stupid tickets are what undermines public support for the police.

I go 25-30 over all the fucking time and never, ever get pulled over. I guess being a cop you're probably more aware where other bacon is likely to hide and run radar and subconciously slow down.

The one time I did I was going 79 in a 45, New York state trooper just asked me how I was doing, asked if I'd been drinking, (I said no, I was bringing a buddy that HAD been home)

He asked me if I'd gotten any tickets recently, I'd said no, and he handed me back my license and mil ID and said, "Well let's not start" and went back to his truck and left.

Protip: When you are pulled over, cops want to see;

The vehicle turned off,
If it's at night, your parking lights on,
YOUR HANDS.
YOUR PASSENGERS HANDS. (If you have passengers in the back with tinted windows, open them)
If you need to reach or search for your registration or whatever, let them know where it is, and that you would like to get it, and wait for them to tell you to do it.

Be polite, to the point, and don't blabber. If asked a direct question, answer, but do not admit guilt, ever.

Most states they cannot search you unless they have probable cause. They may word a search request as, "I'm going to search your vehicle now, alright?" making it sound more like a statement, and not a question. You can refuse, politely say "No, officer, I don't consent to a search at this time"
