Possible n00b question below:
I bought red hat 9 for dummies, which came with two cds (which have red hat 9 on them). I tried to boot from them to install red hat, but I had no luck. I checked to see if I could boot from a win2k cd and a red hat 8 cd. I could boot from both. So, I thought it had to be a problem with the cds that came with the Dummies book. However, I downloaded red hat 9 overnight and burnt the first cd this morning. I did this using roxio easy cd creator and just copied the iso file to a new data cd session. Perhaps this was not the correct way to do this, but I still can't boot from the downloaded stuff. Does anyone have any suggestions? What type of file does the cd need to have on it to be bootable? I noticed both CDs that worked (2k and RH 8) had autorun files. The ones that did not work lacked autorun files. Thanks for any help you guys (and gals) can give.
