Really scary nightmare...

Last night I had the scarriest dream ever and not much happened...

I really felt like I was awake, just laying beside my GF (and I was when I went to bed - I did not realize I went to sleep - maybe it was real).

I was gently rubbing my GF's arm with her back to me when I started to get a little cold and I realized that my eyes had adjusted to the darkness in my room. I looked over at my GF... she was no longer there. Instead, there was this figure.

It was a body. It was naked and had no hair, genitals or even a head. It was kneeling (think of a girl in the doggie style position, but with her legs together and not spread apart) and not moving.

I got terrified an tried to move my arm away, but it was frozen. I could not move it.

Finally after a few moments, I was able to move my arm away and I got out of bed (yes I'm awake now) to go turn on the lights. As I walk to the lights I get stopped. The figure is in the same position, but on the floor between my bed and the lights.

I freak out and go back to bed and lay beside my GF again and then I hear it... I hear the sound of wind blowing over my head (like the sound you would hear if you rolled your windows down in your car on the highway).

And then I froze in horror... I have had scary dreams before, but as I looked at my GF (who was laynig on her side with her back towards me), I felt something truly evil. I felt like my GF was going to turn around and I would be face to face with the devil and that it was going to start to speak to me...

I have had many nightmares and night terrors that were very scarry, but I have never EVER felt like I had encountered something I could describe as evil. I am still scared by what I felt.

Does anyone have any thoughts or feelings on what I've described here? I am agnostic and don't know whether or not I believe in God or the Devil, but this felt so very real.

The human psyche is still very much not understood, but most believe it to have some connection with something spiritual. Lots of people know what it's like to feel terrified by something that they don't understand, and I'm not talking about being robbed or mugged or being afraid of terrorist attacks and that crap. Whether it's just a product of a vivid imagination running away with ideas implanted by twisted movies and the like, I dunno. Maybe seek professional advice?

Yeah, I dont know if you have ever had a dream before.. but sometimes things are kind of goofy that way. Like you open a door in your house and sudden you're in a cave, but it makes perfect sense there.

I can totally relate Stefan, seriously. I have had a lot of dreams where my girlfriend is the devil. And like, they have been plenty scary. I was actually afraid for a while that she was, just because of how things were going. Like, we are both very religious, and I was getting paranoid thinking that she might be the devil, giving me false teachings and leading me away from what I was going towards. And sometimes she would goof around and like pretend to be a demon and stuff, and it just freaked me out more than anything. But there have been times when I was laying next to her, and like I would think I was still awake, but I would be asleep (I guess) and I would know that there was another thing in the room, I could feel it, and I would see the LEDs from the stereo shoot across the room, and things would be all crazy. I would be so afraid to even look at her, because I didn't want to see what she really was. Like going from this awesome chick to seeing her scaled evil true colors underneath. I had gotten over those dreams for a while, but like in the last three to four months I have been having nightmares every night. So much so that I hate going to sleep because I know I'll just get tortured there. Ya know? But within this past week or so things have been better, I haven't been remembering my dreams, so I can sleep a bit better. Hopefully all goes well man.

1) kneeling + closed leg posture figure had no head, no genitals, no hair = submissive non communicative and ill formed asexual humanoid in place of gf
2) windy noise = mental doorway being opened
3) expectation of dialogue with devil = paranoia and delusion

some of the symbolic components of your dream show a malformed transformation in your GF, a paralyzing reaction to this transformation, an attempt to validate the transformation, the windy sound might be your mind opening up to a place or idea far from where it normally frequents. expecting a dialogue with the devil seems to appear from the fear of it all, like you are already freaked to the max might as well expect it to get freakier.

on first glance the psychologist in me suggests you feel guilty about something or that you have issues expressing and coping with your emotions.
second glance says you watch too many scary movies, play too many video games and have an overactive imagination, but i dont know you soooo.. this is probably all just BS

i know alot about the devil though, he's not that bad really (getting eve to eat an apple? wooo.. ), i mean serial killers and rapists are worse than him, we just associate the two together. the devil was just an arrogant liar, in fact he's so arrogant i can guarantee he not only doesnt want to talk to you, he'd be happy if you never mentioned him again. i mean if the devil was a fallen angel and angels are attractive then he's just not the best candidate for representative of all that is evil. i guess that's what we got monsters/aliens/demons for. the elder gods are a little better (giant squid headed cthulhu?) or perhaps the imagery in a demonic mythos (asmodeus was a badass demon) represents the pure nastiness that is evil a little better. I have feeling you wont have that dream again, might just have been a glitch in your dream sequence (you woke up while the dream was still being created maybe, 2 more seconds and your headless abomination would have had 2 heads and 3 boobs, score!).
