Keep in mind the system AMD has been showing around contains 3 video cards not 2 yet its still called crossfire which could be confused by only 2 graphic cards.

If the system has 3 video cards and the drivers are working then 30K could be possible.

Anyone care to do the math on that to confirm?

ok guys, stop obsessing about this, its a 3dMark 05 score. lots of people think so at xtremesystems, and frankly it makes sense.

Yeah I'm not saying the results are true, as they seem somewhat unbelievable. Only that it was 06 ran and it seems Theo trusts the results. Whether he's spinning yarn or not......dunno.

Well, in my time I've never heard of good pr not really translating into performance when it comes out. What I mean is if it sounds good it usually is, simple.

I cant think of anyone in this forum who'd not want it to kick ass...

Its amusing seeing die hard Intel fan boys in denial, discrediting individuals and finding all sorts hypothetical reasons etc why AMD K10 cannot run 30K Mark 06 scores.

Don?t fight it embrace it!

I have somewhat LOL.

Everyone makes mistakes; I find it hard to believe that Theo is trying to kill his remaining positive reputation with bullshit.

it's all vaporware as it is right now....

...lets wait and see some real review when it finally comes out to the public hand.

right now all these speculations are pointless.

There is some indication that theinq might not be talking out their arse. A few people have leaked the 3ghz machines they have on hand for testing are killers but remember were only going to see the 1.9ghz versions not the 3ghz versions soon.

I havent heard of any 64 bit benchmarks or how it will fare against Intel SSE4 numbers yet but here is to hoping they run those soon.

We will know soon enough once the NDA's are lifted on the 10th but I can say that things so far sound very good for AMD. Now they just need to get production ramps up.

You fool, no one here is an Intel fan boy. This is the Inquirer we're talking about. It has no positive reputation left.

How do you know that a 30K+ 3DMark score is relevant to real world performance?

Scientific computing apps favor AMD processors, but to how many people is this important? The GPGPU will take over most of the functions in the future, anyways.

Theo hasn?t been wrong about much if anything in the past and hasn?t had a track record like ole Charlie at the INQ.
Theo's the one who started the infamous reverse-HyperThreading rumors:

http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=32589

Wow, he is still in the scene and writing this kind of BS.

The only reason that I give this story a little credence is because this is something he claims to have seen with his very own eyes.

That other story was pure BS that some idiot told him that he then regurgitated as gospel. TheINQ is guilty of this quite often, "a little birdie told me X" and they print it.

This however is something entirely different and it wouldn't surprise me if there is some truth to it at least.

It would be better to put the money on black at this moment IMHO Right now AMD is losing 600 million dollars a quarter and I wouldn't go near that stock until I see some signs of solid financial stability with the company.

Maybe this was the writers joke....He believes Vista is ME version2, which kinda makes sense for alot of users, especially those that jumped on the platform when it 1st came out!
