Though it claims to work with Macs, I could not get two of them to work on a Mac Mini. Sending back the second one for a refund.

Only con on the premiertek is that it's kind of fat, similar to this one maybe, and keeps me from plugging in a keyboard or usb key in the motherboard's usb slot next to it. I'm talking mini-tower.

i dont know. they probably keep the mimo moniker and note somewhere as its "energy performance" model

its really not an issue for a $12 adapter though. in most cases, these are plugged into networks to get some remote machine connected to a server so you can watch movies and stuff in another room. since thats downloading, you get 300mbs speeds anyway.

you just wouldnt want to use these for things that do heavy serving of data... which like i was saying in most cases servers dont require wireless adapters.

i have this hooked up to a desktop. using homegroup i transfer files to the wireless desktop at around 4 MB/sec from my wired desktop. i can transfer files to my laptop at around 10 MB/sec from my wired desktop. not sure where the bottleneck is.
