LOL. You libs can justify anything in your minds can't you? How do you explain the lack of black people?
Black people have better things to do that hang out with a bunch of Hippies where hanging with your kind could be detrimental to their health.

Did you watch Stewart's interview of Obama?

It was a hell of a lot better than Juan Williams' interviews of Bush.

'How did you become so great, Mr. Bush?'

But it was a slightly liberal comedian interviewing President Obama.

Stewart isn't that Liberal IMO, just slightly, note his wrongly including Olbermann next to Beck, his implying it was wrong to terminate Sanchez and Williams, etc.

His show far more often targets the right - because they're far more ridiculous.

But he has - which I agree with - targeted the left strongly when they deserve it, as viewers have seen.

The thing is he is a moderate. And I think that most moderates are moderates because they realize both sides of the political spectrum are idiotic. The right usually is worse, but only an idiot would say the left is full of rainbows and unicorns.

I enjoyed watching the Panda's over discussing politics on such a beautiful Fall day.

DC does have a decent zoo. Actually, the metro was the real zoo. Bunch of people went to the hospital because an escalator sped up really fast.

Um, no. In fact, with the exception of the partriot act (which was bi-partisan for the most part)...

No, it wasn't. It was a Republican initiative, with a lot of political pressure on Democrats to support it, like the Iraq war, with the authorization timed just before midterms.

I don't have that vote handy, but look at the progressive caucus on the re-authorization of the Patriot Act.

The progressive caucus has in its platform the reform of the act; when given only a yes/no vote to extend it, they voted 'no' to the whole thing more more than two to one.

As I've said many times, the Democratic Party has a big split between the more corporatist wing, and the progressive wing, and the progressives are not Republicans.

Olbermann isn't anywhere near being in the same league as Glenn Beck, but it was fair to put him in the montage. It would not have been fair to put Rachel Maddow in. She is the epitome of sane and reasonable on the left.

Lol "the republicans twisted their arm and made them do it!!"

How pitiful, i have much more respect for the group that I disagree with but sticks to their guns than the group that caves and has no convictions.

Maybe you conveniently forgot the whole "with us or against us" club being wielded in the wake of 9/11, the chest thumping ravings and insinuations of terrarist sympathizin' merricuh haters, not to mention the rampant fearmongering...

Absolutely the best sign at the rally.

Get a shave, comb your hair, and lose some weight. I would not hire fat people on GPs. If they don't care about body how will they care about your business? Smokers same. Stepping out every 15 min is unproductive.

Just general tips in a tight market... not iron clad.

Oh and holding up a sign about someone who whats to tax your employer more is not wise either.

Craig, seriously. Just shut the fuck up.

Oh, and for the extention... more dems voted for it than reps.

162 Democrats and 153 Republicans, voted in favor of extending the Patriot Act without any reforms.

And your obamessiah was in favor of it.

Don't bother with facts. Craig and Jhnhnhnhnnn believe that Democrats only voted on it because they were forced to. They party of intellectual dishonesty.

No, you are a liar. You don't deserve much time, but you get 2 lies named.

1. 'More Dems voted for extending it than Republicans'. A lie by misrepresenting a statistic.

87 Democrats voted no - only 10 Republicans voted no. And that's the general Democratic Party, not progressives.

Of those voting yes or no, Democrats had over a third vote 'no', Republicans had 6%.

And as I said in the progressive Caucus, more than 2 voted no for every one yes.

2. Your idiotic term 'obamessiah' is a lie about how progressives differ with Obama on many issues, especially in his 'security' policies - sometimes worse than Bush.

Wow, you are an idiot and a lying liar.

If you'd stop lying, maybe you wouldn't be an idiot.

He was right, you were wrong and a liar. Fact.

Craig, I'm not a liar. You're deluded.

Fact: The first vote for the Patriot act was for all intens and purposes, 100% bipartisan.

Fact: The extention vote was a stealth vote hidden in another bill by the Democrat leadership and voted for by a majority of Democrats. More Democrats voted for it than Republicans. AND the President supported it. In the Senate, a voice vote was taken specifically so that Democrats could hide their yes votes, but, yet again, a majority voted yes.

Fact: You're a partisan tool.

As I already agreed. It was a *Republican* initiative, with heavy pressure on the Dems, but Denate voted almost 100% for it (only two not yes were Dems).

The Patriot Act isn't all bad - it has some important provisions, along with the bad. It needs reform, not total repeal.

Dems led an effort in 2004 to modify it - which the Republican leadership blocked, when they were losing the vote, they held it open longer and twisted arms and switch ten Republican voted to change to no, resulting in one vote short of passage, with a 210-210 tie.

Of those, Dems votes 191-4 for it, and Republicans - a few conservatives joining - voted 18-206 against it. Ya, the parties are the same.

You're a liar. A much higher percent of Republicans supported it than Democrats, and even higher than that compared to progressives who were over 2-1 against.

There are problems with Dems on this - you are not honest about them.

Having said all that - you decided to behave as an ass and are now on ignore.

Craig, the link I posted says it all. Obama and the Democrat leadership wanted it extended unchanged and arranged to make it pass. And it did.

Your problem is, you're deluded into thinking the Dems are any better. They are not. In fact, the way this was snuck through shows a distinct willingness to be dishonest and sneaky.

The dems, even with a solid majority, would not modify or kill the patriot act. Live with it. The first part of healing is admitting you have a problem, Craig. You're spinning faster than an addict in denial.

Craig when he hears the truth:

You're definitely right to some extent. I wouldn't not hire someone just because they're fat or unattractive, but if that's what it came down to....

Highly qualified attractive person beats highly qualified unattractive person every day of the week

The link you posted was spinning so fast that you couldn't really get a good look at it, could you? Not that such was your intent- you intend only to attack Dems, repeat the same talking points ad nauseum regardless of evidence to the contrary.

It's really simple- Dems couldn't come up with the 60 votes required in the Senate to make changes, and time was running out. Repubs made it an all or nothing deal, then claimed victory when the act was extended for a year-

Compare and contrast the pronouncements of Leahy and Sessions, then remember it takes 60 votes to do anything in the Senate....

Talk about spin. It didn't even need to be extended at all.

That's the point.

But then, you're too busy defending your side to even see a point.

In the end, the Patriot Act is bipartisan and the spawn of BOTH parties.
