I think this is a go for many of us who are repeatedly raped by our local baby bells.
1. Digital voice (although, is anyone out there offering analog?).
2. All inclusive price (except tax) for 500 min LD + call waiting, call foreward, voice message, etc.=everything
3. Additional LD over the 500min. is billed at 3.9 cents/min. (this is a pretty hot rate all by itself).
4. Transfer your old number over to the new service. or
5. Pick a new number (I think all you get to pick is the area code).
6. Pick any US area code you want to use and if you are in NY (for example) you could make it appear as if the call originated in CA or CO or AZ or wherever!
7. International rates are incredibly low, I mean London .05 cents, Tokyo .07 cents, Sydney .06 cents!
8. For extra $14 use all the long distance you can stand. (I think this is on the domestic side).
The list is rather large and I don't want to repeat what you can find out for yourself at Vonage Communications.
(I am not their shill, so forget about the flame war!)
