No jailbreak yet? Shouldnt be long.

My main reason now for not going near apple is the poor android wear support.

Jailbreak for iOS 9 is out...
Seems like a really silly reason. At least Android wear is even supported on iOS...

Uh the main reason not to go with it is that it cost a thousand dollars? And what does this thing do that justifies paying nearly $1000 for one of these vs $270 for a 5s on swappa? Or is a bit of extra RAM worth $500+ these days? If it were a 6s plus then at least you could claim a size value, since you cannot buy a iphone phablet for much less than $400, even on swappa. But for a regular iphone 6s? There is nothing there at all to justify that kind of extortion.

Because some people want one? Why do you need to get your panties in a bunch over something that has no effect on you?

If you don't want to be socially accepted and cool, then don't get the latest iPhone.

Try it out, if it doesn't meet your expectations, return it during the grace period.

It's a great phone - there's no compelling reason not to get one unless:

- you are deep in the Android ecosystem
- you have unusual all-day battery requirements with no/limited way to charge during day (6S Plus or other phones with better battery life OR removable battery depending on your need)
- you really need stereo speakers
- you want the best camera (top Android phones and 6S Plus are a small, but noticeable bit better)
- price: $750 for the 64GB version. Not a big deal if you're OK spending flagship money, but the midrange has gotten crazy good this year (Nexus 6P, Moto Pure)

TBH ive never once thought this to myself

"man plugging in the cable is too hard, I need wireless charging"
I've never really thought "man, locking the doors in my car manually sure is hard.."

But like a lot of things, once you have the better tech, its difficult to go back, and things without seem primative.

-wireless charging
-dpi changing
-root
-???
-profit!

Wow, you certainly have provided some new insight for the debate. None of these things have been talked about before. And the way you cleverly add "profit!" at the end to drive your point home...brilliant, just brilliant. You must be a tech journalist?

Maybe I should just start another thread. Because we obviously love this discussion so much that we can't keep it contained. I'll need a new title to stand out from the others, though.

Maybe "Why my opinion based solely on my usage and experience is much more informed than whatever opinion you have and you should just do what I'm doing because my personal experience obviously applies to all people of all types because I am the center of the universe."

I bet you'd change your mind when iPhone 8S comes out with 1.5gb RAM and wireless charging.

Nexus 5X and 6P

No reason to go with the iPhones right there.

Unless you care about having the fastest processor, a fingerprint reader on the front, OS updates for more than two years, pressure-sensitive touch... and something that's manufactured in large-enough quantities to be available for more than 5 minutes at a time.

Having bought and used those $300-800 Android devices for almost 3 years, yeah it was easy to drop $1k on a 6S Plus. Happy about it too.

Don't see the point in making these threads if the intention is to make fun of 6S owners/would-be buyers...

I'm not getting a 6S, but that doesn't mean I need to create a thread announcing it or try to "subtly" start a flame war. Really now, we don't need this here.
