Rebate question

I sent out two rebates around 12/12, one cooler master and one MSI. AS of today neither one has been accepted/received. I want to think that the holiday slowed down processing but seems like quite a long time for them to not be entered into either system. Thoughts?

I wouldn't worry about it. By the time the rebates reached them it was probably only 2 weeks ago. Most rebates state that it takes 6-8 weeks to receive your check.

So they've got plenty of time.

I am waiting on a Rosewill rebate, and that was sent on 10/30. So yeah, it can take a long time.
This is also why I hate doing rebates...they should all be instant.

I've received the actual rebate check before it even showed up in their system (Mobil 1). Dec 12th? You've got a while to go, and nothing to worry about.

If all rebates were instant then they wouldn't exist. It's an inconvenient way to get a larger discount, only made possible by the folks who forget to redeem them. There is no free lunch.

I just got an MSI rebate that they confirmed they received and accepted back in August...so 4 months after they confirmed everything was received.

It depends on the company.
I know most of them do it like you mentioned, so they don't have to payout, but, there are still some places that make this as painless as possible, fill out form online, then after 6-8 weeks, they send to the rebate amount. (Have to wait that long because of returns).
I also had some instant rebates from Staples and places like that as well.

Thanks for the replies everyone. It looks like MSI finally accepted/approved my rebate after 20 days.The other rebate is still in the matrix somewhere.
