I have problem registering for Fuji 30-pack I bought yesterday (3-16-2003) at CompUSA. I went to www.myrewareds.info to register but it gave the following message:

A $6.00 rebate is not available for products purchased on 03-16-2003 at compusa. Please enter correct the correct store name, date, and amount.
If you continue to have problems please call our customer service help desk toll free at 1-866-FUJIHELP, 9AM-8PM EST.

Does anyone else have the same problem. The phone is busy when I called this morning...

Just got my $20 WD 100 gig SE drive rebate from best buy. All I need is the $40 WD rebate now. I sent both on January 24th.

Bullrake,

I sent in my Rebate for the $10 for Taxcut and there was a $5 rebate in the Taxcut box and also a $30 rebate for MS Money 2003.

Address that I sent the forms to was:

Here's the bad part. I sent in originals to Taxcut for the $5 rebate and called the 800-235-9217 number to confirm that it was alright to send in copies of UPC and rebate form and UPC from MS Money for the $10 rebate. They said yes, send in the copies. (But I didn't get the name of the CSR I spoke to - always do that).

A few weeks ago, I received a letter stating that I needed to send in the original UPC. After calls to the above no. they said too bad, I was supposed to get a $15 rebate form from Staples and not send in the $5 and $10 rebates separately. So, while I rec'd my $5 rebate, the $10 was not going to happen w/o the original UPC. 800 no. folks couldn't help me out.

I went back to Staples where I bought everything, brought along all my paper work and manager had not heard of this before. He gave me a $20 off $20 coupon to compensate me.

However, YMMV.

Thanks Borg2001, that's the one I was looking for. I'll call the folks down in El Paso and at least vent a little. The pump has already been primed at my local Staples and a $20 off $20 could come in handy.

Today's Dilbert cartoon is about rebating. In it the "marketing genius" explains his idea -

"We designed a rebate program that won't cost a penny.

The rebate process is an impenetrable fortress of unclear instructions and physical impossibilities."

Then it shows an elderly couple reading the rebate form and saying "Next we have to find the hidden 300-digit serial number and write it in a box that's half an inch long."

Her response is "stinkin' weasals."

I think that marketing guy actually works for some of the companies who put out rebates! Anyway, I thought that the rebaters here would enjoy this.

The Fuji site only handles rebates from Fuji. Are you sure this is a Fuji rebate and not a CompUSA rebate ? Check the rebate coupon for references to myrewards.info. For example, I had an OM rebate on Fuji CDR that went to OM.

On a related note, what's the deal with Fuji these days ? They've been really good (for me at least) until the last 2 rebates; both of which are overdue. I get no feedback from their online question submission and their phones are always busy. This is starting to pi** me off.

Got in on the Toshiba laptop deal the day after Thanksgiving. BestBuy also released another rebate 2 weeks later when they had the laptop again on special in mid-December. Just received the last BB rebate for $150. They informed me that they had not received the rebate submission and provided a fax #. Faxed the resubmission in and received the rebate less then 2 weeks later!

On a sour note OfficeMax has failed again to honor a rebate from November. Bought a DVD drive at the after Thanksgiving sale. They substituted a Pacific Digital in place of the Cendyne (out of stock). Now, 3.5 months later I have not received a dime. One rebate shows prrocessing/ready for payment within 30 days the other does not show up at all. Anyone out there have some experience with difficult OM rebates. The FAQ in this thread has not been helpfull. Thanks ...

My story
I bought a western digital HD a few months ago and had two rebates attached to it, one from Western Digital and the other Beast Buy. WD has a website to for status. And looking my rebate up, it said it had no status (like my rebate did not exist). So much for tracking, eh?

I called the toll-free number just now. The help specialist identified my rebate and said the check had been cut today. I didn't mention my first name, but he did identify me correctly so I know they received my rebate form. So, from Western Digital, the check is in the mail.

I've been on hold for Best Buy's rebate tracking for 15 minutes. Now - I have a representative who tells me she doesn't have any tracking of mine at all and that she admits they are two weeks behind in processing all rebates. I have a case # assigned to it and I'm supposed to call next week.

Since I never bought AT forum membership, I can't search back threads from January to earlier. Does anybody have an AT Hot deals thread to the Western Digital 100 gb 8mg cache thread (WD SE)? It was pretty popular because all the Best Buys were OOS pretty quickly. If you do, could someone copy me on a link or file for the Best Buy one ($20)? I had made photo copies of the receipts as a precaution, but I now I can't find those durn things...

Got some rebates today. $18 Fuji, $6 Fuji, $10 DLink, and $15 Texas Instruments. What a day!
Had to call Fuji about 10 days ago for the status of my rebates. Mailed them in about 5 weeks prior to calling. They are getting slow, but still came through in a reasonable amout of time.
Dlink and TI took about 8 weeks, per rebate rules.

Remember when calling to inquire about the status of your rebates be polite, unless it's TCA Rebates of New Rochelle, NY. I stay away from that place as if it's got the plague.

For those that bought or were thinking about buyng the Memorex 50ct. 48X CD-R's from Amazon for $14.99, with the $10 memorex rebate they have linked on the sales page... they must have an old rebate linked cause it says purchase between 11/15/02 and 11/30/02; postmarked by 12/30/02.

I was told that they were but I just received a single $40 check from WD and according the the WD rep I just talked to, it's limited to one per customer. I'm going to go talk to the BB manager this weekend, but it's looking like I might be out $80 for the other two drives I purchased.

Logitech Elite Duo Rebate

Guys I got in on the Logitech elite cordless duo from dell, and I want to take advantage or the 15 dollar rebate from logitech, but my order from Dell came in a retail package, but only with a packing slip, not a receipt. Does the packing slip count as a receipt when sending out for the rebate?

I'm not sure why they told you it was for multiple. On my WD HD Form it says LIMIT ONE PER HOUSEHOLD.

Did your forms say something else? I NEVER believe sales people, they just tell you ANYTHING to get a sale. Period.

Somewhat recently bought a WD 200GB Caviar through Dell. There is currently a rebate being offered for $100 back but not in the time frame that I bought it. I could swear that they had the same rebate for the month of February when I did buy it. Were they just posting the rebate early to get more sales or were there different versions?

For those that got in on the CC WD80JB deal - I just got e-mail notification of the processing of the CC rebate. Since both the WD and CC rebates are being handled by the same rebate center, I anticipate both to be processed at the same time.
