Received my check today for $20.00 for Lexar 256MB CompactFlash card from buy.com. Purchase price $61 - Rebate $20 = $41

My rebate is also lost in the system. I called the rebate center and they want me to resubmit. This is pretty fishy that so many of these rebates have been lost.

I finally emailed them about the 03-57312 rebate yesterday...got the same response as you did (above)...hopefully they can fix those "technical difficulties" soon

4 weeks plus change. Pretty happy with the turn around time there. They're not TCA!

Mailed rebate on 5/29 - arrived today

Now just waiting for the other $250 in rebates...

EDIT: Two more $100 checks from this deal today (7/1)!

Jeez, I thought I had a good day (6 rebates).

I'm not sure how many I got on Monday, but it totalled out to $456. The biggest was $45 and the smallest was $3.

Today the $80 Western Digital rebate was in the mailbox and finalized the Circuit City $9.95 120 Gig harddrive acquisition. For all the squaking it was one of the easiest rebate collections. Before I had returned from the store, the $60 rebate was changed to not available, but the clerk credited my credit card during my phone call and the $10 and $80 rebates were shortly confirmed as valid from the rebate center. The $10 arrived three weeks ago and since I mailed them around the 30 of June (waiting for the hooplaw to quiet down and get the proper instructions.) Very close to 8 weeks. Hooray for Anandtech and all the members without them this would not have happened.

OMG!!!

Both of the $30 rebates for the 80GB maxtor drives from staples have shown up at rebateshq and they are valid!!!!!!!


It looks like they finally got everything straightened out!

I received elegibility confirmation from Maxtor this morning for second $30 rebate.
Now I'll patiently wait for checks.

Mine too...I was reading a thread on FW about this yesterday...seems someone called Maxtor and they jumped on rebateshq last Thursday to make them valid. Rebateshq was supposed to be processing them over the weekend and today. The rep from Maxtor said if you didn't see your rebate as valid by Tuesday, you should enquire about it.

I too have had nothing but headaches with TCA and this Viking scam-a-thon. Mine was supposedly mailed out last January but was returned because of incorrect address. What a load of hooey. They said they would resend it out about 4 weeks ago with the address on file, which happens to match my address exactly. I'm not holding my breath. This is the only rebate I have not received and now I know why.

I've heard horror stories about Viking from their first rebate promotions and TCA, well, they're legendary. Just remember, two negatives do not make a positive.

Laff. You have no idea! But I will say that I barely noticed my "rebate folder" of copies getting any lighter after I threw away all the ones I had received.

Officemax just needs to stop giving stuff away so I can go back to a "normal" life.

Anyone buy a Maxtor 200gig hard drive between 02-01-03 and 02-08-03 and get their $100 rebate from rebateshq.com? When I check my tracking number it says it is valid and the check should be mailed out within 30 days. It has been like that since 03-21-03. Everytime I call or email them about my rebate they say it is in processing...

What am i supposed to do if the company doesnt respond at all and they didnt send the rebate? Ive contacted BBB and filed a complaint but they are not doing anythign either!

I've purchased Buslink CDRW on march and still have NOT received the rebate.. contacted them (email and phone but phone just directs to email..) and BBB but nothing has happened..

now what should I do?

MustangSVT, I feel your pain. I had a similar problem with Buslink. I did finally get the rebate though. I emailed them numerous times. I did get one email response that said rebate was valid and processing. 2 months or so after that I got the $$. I never actually talked to anyone, just like the problem you're having. I suggest emailing others at buslink. I emailed rebateinfo@buslink.com and some customer service address I found on their website. I would try to find the email of an actual person at buslink, too, if possible. I learned that I will never buy another Buslink product that has a rebate handled directly by buslink (Hagerstown, MD).

I just received my $50 rebate from WD after buying a 120 gig hard drive from them. Hope to receive a $30 one soon and rebateshq still hasn't listed 2/4 of my rebates - its been 4 weeks

yep yep yep..

this is what i did so far.

called them first. then got the email. sent them the email.. nothing.. contact BBB in MD. nothing... sent them another email from their website concerning rebate status. nothing... just emailed someone working there.. got a read receipt but he didnt reply.. sigh..

oh well no more buslink for me either.

Hats off to Kingston. Ordered 256MB CF from Dell in early May. Did not receive CF until late May (Back ordered). Submitted rebate form immediately. Already received the rebate. Less than 5 weeks from submital to check.
Still waiting for my Storix USB flash drive rebate from April.
