The last three I have sent in have been "valid and being processed" up until the time a check should be cut, and then they suddently go "invalid" because "the original serial number/UPC" was not received.

The first two times this happened, I was able to call up and give the serial number over the phone and have the CSR manually approve the rebates. However, on the third one, they are now telling me that the serial number I have isn't valid at all. How the fleeb does that work? I've faxed everything to Officemax.com's Rebate Center and they're working on it for me, but be warned! If I had to guess, I'd say Cendyne's running out of money!

Mine just showed up online 5-1-03. I called RebatesHQ back in April and was advised that the promotion was not even in their computer system yet. Apparently, Logitech had wanted this to be a POS (point of sale) coupon/rebate, but whoever ran with the project made it a MIR (mail-in rebate).

Anyway, mine's online (although I admit that I submitted it 3 times because I thought it was lost). If yours isn't, send it again with the header "ATTN: RESUBMISSIONS."

Just recieved my WD rebate, so I've gotten both rebates now. w00t!

On one of the many Buslink rebate deals, this one at OMAX for $29.99 (I think, will have to check receipt). Anyhow, just got the Buslink rebate, so waiting for the OMAX one.

Anyone have problems with Rebates HQ fulfilling rebates?

I've had two rebates with them and neither one has been received (i.e. they're stuck in processing). When I called them about this, they said that they would send the rebates, but the rebates never came.

Sure seems like people have plenty of other problems with them, like getting the rebate into the processing state in the first place.

UPDATE: Ok, finally got my rebate after six weeks from RebatesHQ. They send a postcard check, for very secure purposes. :|
And I see people are buying K-Byte RAM because of the rebates... great deal, but man, that stuff is shady since it's basically refurbished/repaired memory chips. It broke on me in 3 months and I haven't gotten my replacement memory back (K-byte has lifetime warranty...)... that's my rant...

I have two logitech rebates that has been long overdue from them. I sent in a $20 rebate in january for logitech cam purchase from amazon. Finally got confirmation email in March saying they would send it out in 30 days. Havent seen a thing from them so I was planning to call today since I'm done with school. I just checked the status on it and they changed it to receive in 10-15 days now in mail. We'll see about that. The other one was a 20% off rebate I used for the MX700. Sent in Jan and received confirmation in APRIL to receive in 30 days. Still haven't seen a thing on that either. This is the first time I've had to deal with any sort of rebate problems. And to think, I bought logitech input devices to avoid supporting microsoft.

You might have better luck if you file a complaint against Soyo and Fry's with the CA State Attorney General's office. The FTC will not normally take action on individual rebate complaints. Supposedly if they get enough complaints they will investigate and sue like they did with Iomega, Philips and Prime Peripherals.

I just opened an FTC complaint yesterday about these rebates for purchases from Fry's on Nov 29 and Dec 27:

Another RebatesHQ warning!

My Officemax May Rebates were entered today (not bad, just mailed them last week) -- $121 total! However, whoever entered them typo'd my Kingston UPC code and invalidated the rebate. I called RebatesHQ right away, and they took my UPC number over the phone and said it was correct and validated the rebate (can't really complain about that customer service). But my point is, the data entry people don't seem to even bother double-checking their entries if they come up invalid. RebatesHQ has obviously become much more busy since they showed up about 1 1/2 years ago, and the quality of their work has slipped accordingly.

CHECK YOUR ONLINE STATUS AS SOON AS YOU'RE EMAILED WITH A ELIGIBILITY CONFIRMATION! This will save you getting screwed out of your money and/or speed up the processing time. It's always the maximum processing time from the time at which they receive all of the correct information!

Edit: This is in regards to the Kingston MFR rebate. The OM rebate went through just fine. Same for the Lexar Jumpdrive. Seems RebateHQ is selecting the wrong item on the rebate form (i.e., the Secure Digital card or PC133 SDRAM) when entering the rebate, and since it doesn't match the included UPC, just invalidating the rebate. From what I've heard, this is extrememly common on these particular rebates...dare we begin to believe that it might not just be shoddy work?

Edit2: After calling and having my Lexar Jumpdrive MFR rebate validated, I checked it again this week and it was once again invalid, but this time, with no reason. I called a CSR (again!) who (again!) validated the rebate (and was confused about the reason being blank), so (again!) keep an eye on these rebate submissions! In my case, I suspect I just got stuck in the system where it was already in the process of printing a denial post card when it was originally re-validated, which automatically invalidated it again.

We got two checks for the day after Christmas too but we are still waiting for the Black Friday rebates :frown:

Soyo now has a site to check to see if they have transferred your information from CPS to their inhouse system -- no contact information though. Those people should have to pay some big time fines.

Ditto here. Both $20 rebates for the Kingston DDR got rejected. I'll have to call them in the morning. Good news is that the $45 and $25 rebate on the Khypermedia drive both made it

Called them and gave them the UPC number over the phone. They'll update the info on both $20 rebates. Calling them is a real PITA - the $#@& menu system doesn't give the option of talking to a human. I had to keep punching '0' until one of the menus magically connected me.

I just received a $50 rebate from Compaq for the purchase of a Presario 6000Z system in February. The fine print said the rebate submission had to be postmarked within 45 days of the system's ship date. I missed this by about 2 weeks but I still got the rebate. It came fast--within 2 weeks.

I was hoping to get an additional $50 rebate because I'd also purchased an HP Deskjet printer, but I already submitted the printer's UPC sticker to Staples.com for one of their rebate offers. So Compaq rejected my request for the additional $50.

Well, the Rebate Center at Officemax called on Friday and said my rebate had been validated. I checked at RebatesHQ.com and, sure enough, it was again being processed. So, kudos to Officemax and we'll see if it get spaid now.
