Anyone having any problems with easierrebate.com? I mailed 8 rebates at the same time on 4/10 for OM purchases, one was received on 4/23, the rest are still showing up as 'not yet' received. Calling/emailing is futile as they do not return calls/emails...just wondering if anyone else has the same issues...

This is starting to become a pattern with them, others on other web forums are reporting the same thing. Initially, when OM starting using them, my submissions would show up as received in like 2- 4 weeks. Now, there's some people who are at the 6th week since mailing them and still showing a "not yet" status for their documents. I am at the 4th or 5th week myself.

If I had to guess, I would say they just plain did not anticipate the volume, and are way behind.

In the last two weeks, over 400,000 rebates have been submitted online (based on the claim numbers I've received online). This doesn't even get close to including the number of rebates submitted by mail "only." So it's understandable that they're behind. The plus side is that easierrebates.com emails you every step of the way, so you know where your rebate is and when the check has been mailed.

I've also corresponded with them before, and they may well have your rebate submission, but be holding it because the manufacturer is only processing so many submissions at a time. This happened with Polaroid. I haven't yet had a problem with easierrebate.com (though it's inevitable), and compared to RebatesHQ, they're golden (IMHO). If your rebate hasn't been processed in 6 weeks, shoot them an email.

Here's a nice once and from what I read, it's not uncommon for such a quick turnaround.

Centon 256MB DDR SODIMM from CircuitCity (2 rebates, 1 from mfg, one from CC - this one applies to the mfg. rebate)
Mailed to White Bear Lake, MN
Mailed out on 4/17
Received 5/19
4 week turnaround time

Nice to see some mfg/rebate houses have their act together (hint hint TCA).

Think next time CC has another Centon SODIMM promotion (missed last weeks) I'm gonna hop on it.

I sent in a rebate for an easierrebates.com promotion at least a month ago. The status still reads documents not yet received. I knew I should have sent it certified mail.

Karaktu- that's nice, but I don't really care how many thousands of letters they are receiving. They should have more than one or two people processing rebates. If they are getting behind, they should hire more workers.

I sent in an OM rebate a while ago, and for over a month it said my rebate was valid, in the final stages of processing, and was to be sent in 40 days.

Now it says I didn't send in the seriel number and would have to resubmit it. I sent the oringal seriel number and am positive it was right.

Should I call them now or what?

Sounds like RebatesHQ and a Cendyne rebate...if so, I posted about this on the previous page. RebatesHQ is usually pretty good about taking your serial number/UPC code on the phone, but if they say it's still invalid, and you bought it from Officemax, call Officemax and select the option for help with a previous order. Explain that your rebate has been rejected because of a serial number problem (and that it had shown valid for the last 40 days) and they'll have you fax in a copy of your rebate submission and receipt and have their Rebate Department fix it. Takes about a week, but seems to do the trick.

Sorry about the previous msg.

This is in regards to my Sony Flat Panel 15" rebate problem.
Well to those who are wondering this is what Best Buy had to say.
I called them on 5/16/03 and we conferenced called Sony and then
they found out that actually Sony only had 1 Rebate, yet Best Buy had entered them as two rebates. Now it turns out it isn't a Sony fault but definitely a Best Buy problem. So Best Buy says call us back after 5/22/03, so I called them today and guess what -

FAX us your rebate forms, receipts and photocopy of your UPC, and we will get back to you after *get this* 21 working days. Can you believe it???

I think at the end of the 21 working days and I don't get my money I am going to complain to the BBB for cheating. It's not my fault their system screwed up that badly that they were advertising on the local papers about $100 REBATE and actually printed out stuff for it. Feel cheated badly.

Go to the Best Buy store you purchased/picked up the monitor from and ask to speak with a manager. I have yet to not have a store manager take care of me on an issue like this. If you have a copy of the ad (or can find one online), you'll be in even better shape.

i've submitted about 3 rebates to easierrebates about 4 weeks ago. It still shows as not yet received. Emails and calls to them don't work. I just have to wait. I feel better than others are getting the same kind of problems with them

I think once I get to about almost 8 weeks. I'll shoot Officemax a call to complain.

Had an interesting experience with easierrebates.com. I check them every 2-3 days, sometimes more often. Just checked them today for the first time in about that long. Always before, it said Documents received: Not Yet. Now it says Documents Received: 4/25/03 or 4/26/03, depending on rebate. They were sent on 4/15, so we will wait and see what happens.

Well I just got a confirmation email from rebatesHQ denying my claim for $30 mir for the maxte 80GB w/8MB cache from staples.

If anyone remembers the deal, it was $109- $20 (coupon) - $30 mir from maxtor - $30 mir from staples.

I sent the original UPC to maxtor and a copy of the UPC to staples and wrote on the copy that the original UPC went to the maxtor rebate.

Now rebatesHQ is saying they can't give me the rebate because I didn't send the original UPC:|

What do I do? is there a # I can call. Many people got in on this deal and some even called a staples rep who said that they would be elidgable for both rebates.


Please HELP!!

I had the same thing. I called as soon as I saw the status online and the CSR I spoke to validated the second $30 rebate, no questions asked (I've already received my first $30 rebate).

Use the "Staples Rebate" number, which is 888-241-6208. If you still have a problem for any reason, contact Staples directly.

www.rebatestatus.com is the one processing these rebates. Mine has never shown up, and my mother's shows "processing" with a rebate award of "$0.00." If your rebate isn't showing up on your list, make sure to email them (they're notorious for putting in the wrong name/address) and resubmit if necessary. I got an email response back today from a CSR after submitting questions on Friday.

If you have trouble with Viking rebates, here is their California mailing address. This will help you file an online complaint with the California Attorney General office. It is super easy to file a complaint online.

I recommend anyone and everyone who has complaints about getting Viking rebates complain as soon as possible. Sometimes this is the only way to straighten up these sleazy companies who think it is smart to pretend they didn't get a rebate and only have to pay if someone complains loudly. This is criminal behavior. While I don't like the New Rochelle rebate company (I also filed a complaint against them with the NY attorney General) rebate problems ultimately fall on the company offering them, not the company providing the service of fulfilling the rebate.

I'm on hold now, so hopefully this will be resolved. I haven't received the other rebate yet but I didn't think it would arrive this soon (it's only been two since I sent it).

When did you receive this email denying the rebate? I received the Staples $30 rebate about 3 weeks ago and received a confirmation email from rebateshq confirming my eligibility on the second on 5/3/2003. The website shows that it is in the final stages of processing/30 days to receive check.
