The most helpful posts include:

1. Verified contact information (mailing addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, names etc.) for rebate sources. Active links always help.

2. Accurate details of the kinds of proof of purchase and other documentation required (UPC codes, receipts, etc.).

Has anyone received the $42 rebate for the 200-pack Value Disc cd-r's?

I did this deal mid May from OM. I've gotten my other rebates for items I ordered with it such as WD 40g drive and cd stomper (cd labeler).

Also waiting on a $15 rebate for Mad Dog 4.1 sound card...

EDIT: received Mad Dog rebate. Waiting on cd-r rebate after being told my receipt didn't match the upc...

For those waiting the $25 rebate from the 48x Khypermedia drives that were FAR at Officemax in May: According to my online status, the checks in the mail (as of 8/1)!

It finishes off $170 worth of OM rebates from that May sale. Once I get this check and the $100 from the office depot desk FAR deal that is also in the mail, I'm springing for the Optorite0203 Dual DVD+/- drive (AT HotDeal).

I am still waiting for a $10 OfficeMax rebate for a 50 pack of Fuji CD-R disks. Sale was in April. EasierRebates.com claims that my rebate was approved on May 5th and that my check is not listed as shipped yet. I think they have missed the 8 week window here.

Symantec is useing rebates heavy now to move overpriced software. Good idea since you will never be able to get but one rebate. The requirements for more than one will never be satisfied by you, I, we, me, seems to alway's leave something out of the second , yea right

I have received two checks for this OM deal about two weeks ago. I did submit on line and mailed their site generated form with appropriate documentation for that same time period offer.

I am still waiting for my second $30 Maxtor rebate on the Staples deal about that same time. Cannot get status to change from a 30 day status even though they acknowledge my emails (Parago). Phone calls start next week!

Edit: Status finally changed this morning (08-09-03) to check will be received in approx 10/15 days. Patience....patience.... patience!

My check for this deal arrived on 7/18. It just appeared on easierrebates one day and the check showed up shortly after.

In the SLOW catagory... got $25 on 8/9/03 from Khypermedia for a CD-RW burner from 5/4 at OM. About the only company slower is Cendyne

I purchased a stick of 256MB 2100 DDR memory 40 - 40 MIR at OfficeMax. I got the rejection postcard this saturday.

Your purchase was not made withing the required dates for this rebate.

The postmark date on your rebate submission was after the deadline for this rebate.
I mailed it the weekend after I purchased it.

CDR-The UPC barcode submitted is not eleigible for this promotion.

The promotion on the postcard is for a $7 rebate on khypermedia brand CDR 40x 80min 700mb 50pk spindle, seven day offer

First of all I would never ever buy khypermedia cd burnables and they are turning me down for a 7 dollar rebate on something that I didn't even purchase. I'm thinking about calling Officemax HQ about K-bytes mail-in-rebate scams. Has anyone done this before and what was the resolution?

I'm not sure if I have kept the copies of the UPC or the rebate form either. I cleaned out my office last week and don't remember seeing them.

Khypermedia just denied my office max $12 100pack CDR rebate from July 27th, saying it was postmarked too late, but I bought the product on Sunday, it said must be within 7 days postmarked, and I got it postmarked and mailed 6 days after buying it.

I'm really get sick of this rebate crap.

In the annoyingly amusing category...I have purchased a Cendyne modem and Cendyne 52x CD-RW drive in recent weeksn from OM. The rebate for each is on the same form. Anyway, one set of these rebates were approved no problem; the other set (that my mom purchased, ahem) had the modem approved by the CD-RW rebate denied because it was a limit of one per promotion. Laff. It just goes to show that even the rebate company reps don't know what's going on.

I'll be calling to get the other rebate validated

Officemax has a "rebate department" that will assist you with any rebate issues. Just call the Officemax.com number and select "previous order" from the VRU and you'll get a CSR who will instruct you on where to fax/email, etc.

That said, the rebate form says one rebate per person, it does NOT say one rebate per item, per person. Unlike belkin, or officemax store rebates, and so on. The rebate company reps know what's going on, it's SUPPOSED to be only ONE rebate for a given promotion number, and most of the vets by now should be well aware that if you do more than one you'll get rejected and have to call to get it validated. As you're one of the most frequent vets here, I'm surprised you'd think the rebate center had it backwards.

Just a quick question. I have two OMax rebates that went to EasierRebates in late April early May. I was following up on them and both rebates are listed as mailed and check cashed. I am quite sure I haven't received them so I couldn't have cashed them.

Is this a common occurrance?

Does anyone know a way to talk to a LIVE person on Parago/RebatesHQ? I tried all the numbers and just gets the automated POS. My $10 modem rebate got rejected due to that infamous "multiple item" excuse. Sent them a E-mail, but I would rather have a live person to yell at.
