Please help me with Fry's rebate.

I purchased a PQI 6 in 1 flash memory reader that was FAR. I sent in all the materials in time about 2 months ago, and haven't heard since. I emailed the company about this, but they claim to have no record on file. I don't know how reliable the postal office is but he says I can fax him the material to get a check out soon. I have my original receipt luckily, but do not have any rebate forms or the UPC barcodes since I sent those out. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

I am waiting for a $30 rebate from Storix for a 64MB USB 1.1 Flash Drive. It was a Fry's FAR deal. Two e-mails have resulted in two responses saying I am APPROVED. I sent in the rebate forms in March. Six months seems a bit ridiculous. It seems that every rebate that deals with Fry's takes at least 4 months, not 6-8 weeks.
On the other hand I already received a $30 rebate from Best Buy for a Maxtor 120GB hard drive I purchased in mid-July.

Recently I have had a "rash of rebates" submitted for OfficeMax offers showing as invalid for bogus reasons. Wrong upc! Yeah, right. This is despite the fact that all rebates were filled out properly and mailed in on time. To give you an idea, I do literally hundreds of rebates and have not had one refused in two years.
I spoke with an OfficeMax csr supervisor and had her access my "rebate history" so she could see what I was referring to. She printed out the record of my rebates and last I heard was pursuing some answers for me with her boss, and would get back with me. This was yesterday.

I just received an email from OfficeMax:

[Dear XXXXXXXX

Please disregard any recent emails you may have received regarding your rebate submission(s) from your OfficeMax purchases. We are in the process of reviewing your submission and will notify you again when the process is complete. Your updated status will be available at that time at www.maxmyrebates.com .

OfficeMax Rebate Center/Q]


Hopefully they'll get things fixed for everyone.

The Cendyne saga begins...just got this message...also forwarded it to my Officemax contact...

I got an email from Office Max yesterday that had an update on my rebates. I was denied for the $5 rebate on Khypermedia CDR's from OM because the UPC was wrong. I knew it was wrong when I sent it in. It was a UPC for 40x pack instead of the 32x that the rebate was for. The reason it was wrong was because the A-holes that pack the online orders either sent me the wrong ones or substituted because they sold out of the 32x (this is more likely). What else could I do but send it in anyway? I put a note with it that said that it was a substition designated by Office Max but I guess it doesn't matter. I got approved by Kypermedia for the $7 rebate becuase it was for a number of different speed CDR's and not just the 32x. Today I got another email from Office Max saying to ignore the one that I got yesterday and right now I can't access the link that shows my rebate status. It's no biggie if I don't get the $5 but if they are offering rebates on specifics like that, they should take the rebate amount off of the purchase price of the substitute.

Received 8/30/03 - OM $20 rebate for kbyte DDR from 6/22 sale. Still waiting on the accompanying mfg rebate.

Re: Cendyne, I guess I lucked out. I got a $30 rebate check from them the week before their problems surfaced. I actually cashed the check the following week and it cleared.

Call that number, don't choose any options just stay on the line and you'll get a CSR. Age old deal with getting parago to validate it. If you call a rebateshq.com number, you won't get anywhere since the OM/BTS rebates don't show up on rebateshq.com and they don't show up in the rebateshq.com CSR's computers either. They can't validate a submission they can't see in their system.

All the new OM/BTS rebates show up at www.maxmyrebates.com and even though it's STILL just parago, one hand apparantly doesn't have access to the other hand's rebate submission database so call that number to get it resolved.

In my case, it turns out they rejected me for not sending the original upc, when a duh, I had to use it for the mfr rebate.

Actually, you CAN email RebatesHQ (Parago) about your Officemax/BTS rebates, as long as you have the tracking number (starts with a "1"). They were able to correct my invalid UPC problem via email (in less than 24 hours, even!).

Helpful to know, but that's IF they email the tracking number to you (last time this came like 10+ days after the submission was processed, weird) and they don't always do that. I like the phone method better since I prefer a more immediate resolution

Try calling one of these numbers. You should be able to reach a live CSR and tell them your rebate was denied.

About 8 weeks and change. Not the fastest, but at least it came.

Looks like WheresMy%$#%Rebate is trying to deny my GigaFast 5-port switch rebate from Buy.com. Reason: Supposedly sent packing slip instead of the receipt. That's total BS. Can't wait to get at a CSR tomorrow.

Don't look good to me. If you didn't keep copies of the stuff you mailed out you might have a hard time convincing them to accept the rebate. I had an OM rebate that supposedly dissapeared recently. I resubmitted using the photocopies I kept and that was denied for being late (duh !). A phone call was all it took to fix that. Always keep copies of the rebate paperwork you send in. Good luck.

After faxing copies to them with SKU's circled (receipt and packing slip ("Cust. SKU on packing slip matches the SKU on the receipt)), they have now changed my rebate to "Processing"

Many on FW have had to do the same....:|

Need some help. This is in regards to a Kingston memory rebate from May from Office Depot. Rebateshq/Parago handling the rebates. I just realized that it was still pending in my tracking files (yes my bad on the timely followup). I sent an email to parago.com about the issue and after some run around on not being able to read my scans (b.s. resent the same email to various accounts and friends who could all read them fine) they replied with this

I had a similiar problem. I sent in a kingston mfr rebate, and after 2 and a half months not only had it now shown up at rebateshq.com, they claimed they couldn't find the offer number in their system. Contacted OD, faxed over copies of my stuff to a CSR and without nary a fight the CSR who responded offered to cut me a $20 check (the rebate was for $19) and mailed it out a few weeks later. In the interim, lo and behold a whopping 12 or 13 weeks after mailing my submission, it shows up on rebateshq. So I contacted OD, and offered to mail back their check, tear it up, etc, since the mfr rebate submission finally showed up and was told to keep it as a courtesy anyway.

TCA supervisor "Denise" tried telling me that my rebate submission was denied because I didn't supply the "packing slip". The rebate form specifically says "receipt". If you fell for this crap, file a BBB and state (NY, CA, and your state) fraud complaint. Time to slap these creeps...again....

BTW, the address for this rebate was not New Rochelle. It is Niagara Falls. Another address for the "blacklist" of rebate vendors.

I followed the terms of the rebate form and was denied. We shouldn't need to send what isn't required by the form.

I received my Staples rebate for 15.00 yesterday. It was for the 19.95 100 pack of TDK cd's. Took 2 weeks until the rebate came.

RebatesHQ doesn't show a rebate for my purchase. Receipt shows promotion # 0004904 and Offer # 15. Boy, this is some screw up with CompUSA or the rebate people, or both. A couple more emails, phones calls and perhaps a trip to CompUSA for the rebate or my money back.

Hope I don't have this trouble with the $100 and $150 rebates for a Best Buy laptop purchase.</SPAN>

Update Edit: called their rebate # 888 241-6208 and hit zero couple times to get a live operator. Now their web site shows the $40 rebate as valid and to be sent in 30 days.
