Kingston 256MB DDR We?re sorry! We did not receive the original or a copy of the UPC for this Product , We?re sorry the UPC you submitted for this product is incorrect.

This if from OfficeMax. Each time I submit a rebate here, and I do it meticulously, it gets rejected. I have all the information scanned, but this gets ridiculous. Someone should get a petition going and have an investigation done, this is raqueteering.

Anyone buy the 2 PNY 128MB CompactFlash or 2 PNY 128MB SmartMedia memory from CompUSA for $89.99 w/$40 rebate a few weeks back? I just got the reply below today. I know I submitted it correctly.

About 6 weeks. For some reason, I was worried about this one but I can't complain.

As usual, stay away from Viking/TCA rebates. They are the SUCK.

Just got a 30$ rebate check from Omax for a Cendyne 52x drive purchased last month.


This is what they wrote:
"Thank you for your purchase of INTERNAL 52x24x52 IDE CD-RW. We apologize if your receipt of this check was delayed. However, CenDyne, Inc., the promotion sponsor, has entered into court-appointed receivership and ceased funding the promotion. We are happy to inform you that OfficeMax has chosen to fund your rebate check in place of CenDyne, in order to ensure the best possible experience for you, a valued OfficeMax customer."

did you or anyone else get the 2nd $30 rebate for that CDRW purchase? my 2nd one never even showed up online.... they were both going to miami, FL.

Is there a way to talk to a officemax representative for rebates and address your rebate questions? They rejected my Pacific Digital rebate of $30 as they said the UPC did not match or the UPC did not arrieve.

If you continue to have problems with any Officemax-related rebate, fax your information to:

Ms. Tonika Johnson
Officemax Rebate Center
Fax: (800) 782-0421

You will definitely need to do this if your last series of Cendyne rebates are showing an invalid status with this message:

"We apologize for the misunderstanding, but your rebate is invalid because this promotion allows one rebate per item per household. A postcard ackowledging your invalid reason will be mailed to you."

If you have any INVALID rebates at RebatesHQ, it appears that Tonika has the authority and direct access to approve and process one "Officemax Customer Appeasement" rebate per name/household; anything beyond that she needs to submit to corporate for approval, which can take 4-7 weeks and may or may not be approved. But that's still better than nothing.

Does anyone know what's up with Best Data? I've been waiting forever for a rebate from them and when I try to call them, there is nobody there to pick up the phone. If you select the rebate status option on their phone system, they say that they can't accept phone calls or emails at this time. They say that I can submit my information on their site, but I did that a month ago and haven't heard back from them.

Anyone have a similar problem with Best Data?

Just called....Best Buy $20.00 rebate on LiteOn 52x32x52 drive (around 8/10/03) has been mailed. No word on the $30.00 Lite On Mfg. rebate yet?

I haven't heard of any problems with Best Data. Hope they have not folded like Cendyne. It's tough to get rebate checks out of them. Try emailing debbie@bestdata.com

Yes, I have problems with Best Data as well. I have a rebate with them from May 2003. I used their stupid web page rebate inquiry several times - no response. I emailed tech support and customer service several times - no response. Only after a nasty email to them threatening that I will contact the BBB did they respond. debbie@bestdata.com was the person who emailed me back. She said the check would be mailed the week of Sept 8. It hasn't arrived yet though. It's time to craft another nastygram.

Edit 9/19 - check came today. Note to self: never again buy any Best Data products.

anyone subitted officemax/BTS rebates and got a reply from them? they say.. they'll email a tracking number. i sent in about 5 rebates worth about 8/30. none show up on maxmyrebates. I sent it in via printing the form off the web from maxmyrebates.

if anyone, how long does it take for you to start seeing it online, do they actually send an email to you?

grooed - I sent in rebate stuff to OM/BTS on 7/31 and got an email 8/28 with a link to my status. So it took a while.

I just emailed her about one from May, too, and, quitely amazingly, it's going out "today."

I think Best Data isn't sending out their rebate checks unless you contact them about it (must be run by the same people from I/O Magic!).
