i called parago and the CSR said that my rebate for BF 120gb seagate hd is valid and i should receive the check in the next 30 days... lets see whut happens

A new personal best. I FINALLY got my rebate from Parago for the MadDog DVD burner $49 with a $40 rebate. Purchase date was September 9th, delivery date was September 13th and they recieved my rebate info on September 20th. Delivery of check on February 10th. Almost 5 months and there are people who actually thing the idiots at Parago are pretty decent?

I just got my Seagate rejection card for $50 on a 120gb drive. Sent some emails off. I should probably call them tomorrow.

Got my last two Seagate Rebates today. One was submitted Oct 11, 2004 and one Nov 26, 2004. BOTH arrived today. and, oh, I also received a postcard stating my 120GB rebate was not valid and please reply by Feb 28th.......... This is most messed up rebates I've had to deal with and I've done many. TGIO.

Anyone get a rebate check for the Logitech MX500 mouse deal recently? It was a $10 rebate form from Logitech and was going to the guys at www.expressgroup.com

It doesnt even show up at their website.

Does anybody have the phone number for RebatesHQ? My $40 rebate on a 160GB Seagate drive has been 'invalidated by Seagate' and I'm tired of waiting for my postcard. I've looked all over RebatesHQ's website and couldn't find a number. Their "Customer Service" e-mail form requires a specific manufacturer before you can send, and Seagate just happens to not be on the list of manufacturers. :disgust: Should I contact RebatesHQ or should I go directly to Seagate? Any suggestions?

What the f? Parago's response to the BBB:

Mr. XXXX submitted for a $50.00 rebate for the purchase of a Seagate 160GB ATA Hard Drive on 10-11-04. The original postmark date was 10-15-04, and the rebate was entered as valid on 10-20-04. From 10-25-04 though 11-29-04 the rebate submission went through the 3rd party validation process. Then on 11-30-04, check number ####### for $50.00 was issued to Mr. XXXX and he has yet to recieve the rebate. So a stop payment was placed on check number ####### and the check was reissued. Mr. XXXX will recieve the $50.00 rebate within 15 buisness days.

That check number was written on 1/27/05, and my rebate would NOT have been listed as invalid on 12/12/04 had a check been issued two weeks before.

i dont have the phone number now, its at home. i can pm you with it when i get out of work.

fyi- i went through their support page and filled out the email form and just picked a different vendor like maxtor or something else. then in the comments section i wrote that they did not have seagate listed and explained my issue. they never responded but two weeks later, i had a check in the mail for one of my rebates. my other two have since been "invalidated by seagate." im going to fire off a few more emails tonite after work, and see what I can accomplish.

Yeah, I sent an email using that form and some other company other than Seagate. Maybe I'll call them too.

I guess I must be lucky. I received both my $40 and $20 rebates for my 120 gb hd purchased from Fry's on Black Friday

wtf with Seagate. I mailed in one $40 rebate for a 120gb and got an "invalid by Seagate". Got another one with $50 rebate for a 160gb. You know how long the rebate form printed out by Fry's? I was stupid enough to cut out the rebate receipt from the rebate form (which contains the date of purchase). It was deemed invalid due to missing purchase date. I then sent copies along with a letter explaining the problem. I also included copies of the original receipt, UPC, rebate form etc and sent it to the resubmission office. Couple of days later, I got an email and they updated my rebate as missing UPC. WTF? of course it's missing the UPC because IT WAS SENT with the original rebate request and the resubmission is just a copy of the original.

Anyone has a rebate form for this hard drive purchased between 12/18 - 12/24 ? (I assume it, this may not be right).. I purchased my seagate 200GB hard drive on 12/21/04 from outpost.com, and I have received a post card to read that I applied for 300GB seagate hard drive -_- it's so embarrassing.

I now have to resubmit it, and I made a copy of the receipt and UPC barcode, but
didn't make one for the rebate form

please help me....

will do.

i emailed rebateshq twice and still have yet to receive a reply or the status of my rebates to change. i even threaten to call the BBB. they dont seem to care. now i have to spend my off days sitting on hold trying to get these clowns to pay up. never again will i buy a seagate product.

i have 2 different numbers....

#1 is for rebates mailed to el paso, TX which is rebatesHQ, and the number is 800-753-9823

#2 is for rebates mailed to NY and can be tracked here. the phone is 866-205-0205

I can pull up some phone numbers that I was given during the Seagate rebate process when I get home. And no, they really don't care about the BBB, you're not a customer to them.

Edit:
Scratch that, I had the numbers in a note file, and my system mysteriously lost three of it's 5 partitions last night at midnight.

Did anyone receive their rebate for the SL350 $25 MIR @ Fry's / Outpost.com late last year around september? I forgot the date.
I received a letter stating that the upc I mailed was incorrect, but it was the upc and rebate form that Fry's provided. I emailed rebatestatus.com (that's what was on the rebate form) and got a return email stating that my rebate was received and is being processed. This was early January. At rebatestatus.com it still states that my rebate is being processed (that's over 4 months).

Anyone get there's?


I received the $50 seagate rebate for the 160gb drive from the fry's deal. Received it in January.

The following was clipped from somewhere I don't remember when I was chasing down two Seagate/outpost rebates: Hope this helps.


Please call our Presales Department at Seagate for rebate issues. We are not the department that set up the rebate promotions, but we do answer rebate issues. We can override the rebate fulfillment company's decisions, and access their database. The Retail Channel Marketing department at Seagate is responsible for setting up the rebate programs.
You can reach the Presales Department at toll-free, 877-271-3285, M-F, 8:00 AM - 11:45 AM, and from 1:00 - 5:45 PM, Central Time."

Hope this help. People reported that actually help.

The second number below is the one I was given by the Rebate House supervisor when I spoke with the CSR for the xxxxx time.

I received a 35 rebate that was for 256 MB of PC2700 the day after BF if I remember correctly. I called them up since the # was a 510 area code (more or less local for me). I left them a voice mail and they then sent an email a few days later. They must have cross referenced it with my name through my phone call because I didn't leave an email address on the voice mail. Any way here what the email said:



February 3, 2005

Dear Sir or Madam:

We have received your inquiry to your rebate status. As of today?s date, we have the following information pertaining to your rebate payment:

Rebate Status: Approved

Your rebate check should be written and sent within 7 business days. If you do not receive your check within 14 business days, please notify us.

The return email address I have was from rebates@hyteksol.com, not what you have above. Try this email address or leave them a voice mail. I doubt they will pick up the phone.
They should get back to you as they did with me.

Thought I'd throw my two cents about Seagate rebates into the fray:

I just recieved my $30 rebate for the Seagate 80GB drive I purchased from BestBuy on 1/2/05. It was postmarked/mailed around a week later. I did not have to e-mail/call them or anything.

BestBuy rebate from the same deal was recieved about two weeks ago, by my count. As always, reliable and on time.

I also recieved a $30 PNY StaplesEasyRebate from the PNY 512MB PC2700 deal of 1/31/05
