I have received possibly the longest rebate turn around time in my life.

Vonage $40 MIR from Staples
Rebate dates 8/23/04 to 10/31/04
Mailed out 9/8/04
Received yesterday 5/16/05

Let's see....hmmmmm, carry the one.......that's 8 months for a rebate! I think I'm done with Vonage rebates for the forseeable future.

Anybody know what Maddog's contact info is? The phone numbers listed on their web site is incorrect or disconnected.

Well it looks like western digital is now making people wait a long long time for there rebates, It has been 8 weeks since my purchase of a hard drive from best buy that had a 30 dollar rebate from best buy, which I received, and now after 8 weeks, I called to see where the 60 dollar western digital rebat is that I was also supposed to get within 8 weeks from purchase. They tell me the old story that there was an overwhelming demand and it might be another 6 weeks before I receive my check. This is getting real old, 8 weeks is 8 weeks, I am tired of 8 weeks being 6 months on rebates!!!! I talked to Ean F who is a supervisor at the rebate center and he said he didnt care about bad publicity and I would have to wait.

The 858-755-9750 number is supposed to be their corporate number but all I get is a "We're sorry. The number you have dialed..." I also tried their tech support number with the same response.

Woot! Both $100 MIRs (one from Circuit City and one from TiVo) have been approved and are in final processing for my FAR 40hr Tivo purchased 4/22.

The only contact info listed on my newegg kingmax rebate form is an email address: rebate@kingmax.com

It appears that kingmax is handling their own rebates.

Anyone get any word from Amazon regarding the cell phone rebates? It's been almost 11 weeks and they are still saying that they haven't been shipped out yet. :|

anyone received any rebates from PCUSA? Bought mouse via eCost.com in January and no words at all. Called eCost, but all they said was to contact PCUSA. but no phone number listed in rebate form.

I just recieved a $40 check in the mail from Seagate for a 300GB hard drive. Mailed less than 3 weeks ago.

I have the same problem, and I mean the SAME - January purchase, no info from PCUSA much less my $14.99 rebate. I have a copy of the form that I printed out at the time and I also have JPG's of everything I sent them, UPC, form, both sides of the purchase receipt - everything they said I had to keep to cover my ass if I claimed I had a problem getting my rebate. However, they don't provide a phone number on the form. I figure I can mail them a letter to the same address they gave on the form to send your request for a rebate. I see no other avenue for complaint. The form says allow 10-12 weeks for processing your claim. It's been over 22 weeks since I sent in the form, original UPC and original receipt. Anybody know more on this?

Edit: A Google search on "PCUSA rebate" turns up an interesting FatWallet thread: PCUSA rebates (eCost) - reliable?

Has a phone number that doesn't work, but was gotten from eCost. Maybe you can get a new (working) one from eCost. It also says: Their site is www.pcusacorp.com in Walnut, CA.

I called the number and was transferred to the rebate department. A woman asked for my name and she looked up my rebate and said she didn't understand what had happened. She would submit my information to the accounting department and I should wait a "few more weeks" and will receive my check, and then "bye, bye."

I have a data table called rebate.dbf in which I have a record for every rebate submission. That's how I keep track. If I didn't have the table I'd have forgotten about this. However, my logical received field still says False, so I followed up.

Has anyone received a Kworld rebate, or not received one that was expected, or been denied on one?

Kworld has had rebate offers on a number of capture cards at various resellers recently. I'd like to get one, but with all the spamming they've done here and in NewEgg reviews of their products and the 16 week processing time, I wonder if they're too sleazy to make good on the rebates.

I've only been able to find one person who's sent in a rebate to Kworld. It was denied for including a copy of the UPC despite the fact that the rebate form stated original OR copy.

Purchased a visiontek card at the end of March. Sent in my rebate promptly. It's valid, but it's been almost 15 weeks. Their excuse is they were overwhelmed by the response. Not my problem.

I tell you what I do when it's been a long, long time after the due date. i.e. 6-8 weeks turning into 14+ weeks. I email the manufacturer, (in your case, Visiontek), information
from this very thread on the first page, the links included with phone #'s of the BBB, FTC, the States attorney General (could be two different states due to both your's and their locations), and tell them you want your money or else you will write to all of the links that are listed on the email. Also, for nuisance factor, I send the email a minimum of 10-20 times so they get a huge block of the same email that's hard to ignore. I did this with two O'reilly book rebates from Fry's just last month. It was a 6-8 week rebate that turned into 22+ weeks. The next day after I sent the 10-20 emails for Oreilly I received a phone call apologizing for the wait. I was sent a check from the head office. They told me I would
receive a check from them within 3 days but it took 2 -3 more weeks and a couple more emails but I got my 40.00. If it pisses you off enough, dig in and don't let go. Let them know you have lived up to their re4quirements and they are the ones who have defaulted on the deal.

How true! Somehow I never see in the fine print anything that says "you can expect your rebate in 8-10 weeks, except, of course, if we get an overwhelming response, in which case all bets are off."

Had to vent somewhere, this seems like a good place. Netgear svcks. Purchased a WGR614 from Amazon because I had a gift cert. and with the $20 rebate it was just about free. Amazon is on the approved resellers list, right on the Netgear form. I DL the form, fill it out when my router arrives attach the UPC, everything as requested.
I mailed it off on 6/12 well within the time frame on the rebate form. Got an email today
(exactly one month later), received your submission, tracking number, blah, blah, blah.
At the bottom it says, rebate INVALID, below that reason submission is invalid -INVALID
serial number. This really gets me hot, so I get on the phone to the toll free number, 1st time I can't even get through. Second time when I finally get a live person, she hangs up on me when I tell her I have a problem with a Netgear rebate. Third time I get through to a guy, Otto and I give him the tracking number. He says, "the serial number is invalid, sir." To which I reply "that's impossible, I'm looking at it right now on the bottom of the router and it is correct and this is a WGR614 bought from Amazon, on your approved vendor list." He replies, "Well, I'll make an exception this time and go ahead and validate your submission, you can expect the check in 4 to 6 weeks. I should have known better, these jerks yanked me around about two years ago when I purchased a
MR814 and MA401 combo. Supposed to get a $30 rebate that time and they denied it
saying I didn't submit the UPC's. They were stapled to the form and I had copies, so I told them this. They told me to resubmit with the paperwork that they had sent back and
it would be approved. By the time all this was done, about 5 months had gone by, but I eventually did get it. If they don't want to rebate the money, why do the promotion? Just annoys the heck out me that you have to go through all this crap to get a rebate. No more Netgear for me, these guys are one of the worst. Thanks for listening.

Ouch!, got denied on the $30 Cyberhome 7" Portable DVD Player at KMart of last May, with no UPC submitted (which was taped to the receipt),
and I faxed my copy of the form, and still got denied.

Looks like time to pull the trigger for the big guns (AG of Texas, BBB, and KMart too).

GQ DVD-R 8x 25pk bought from Fry's on Mar 15. $5 rebate finally received today, Jul 18. That's more than 4 months! Grgrgrgrgr~~~~~!!

No date on check, but says expires on 9/09.05, less than 60 days. No postmark on the envelope, so I can't tell when it was mailed out. But web site said mailed out on 06/15/05.

Have one more $8 rebate for 50pk DVD+R still waiting on.

Does anyone know whats happening to wheresmyrebates.com aka TCA?? I have been trying both their Telephone nos for the past week and I have not got through at all.
The phone either appears busy or disconnected or sometimes just keeps on ringing!!
And this is during their regular business hours!!

HELP! been waiting on them for a $35 rebate from Oct04!

This might be a little off topic, but here goes:

Many if not most of you know about the Microsoft Settlement thing going on. If you bought any of many Microsoft softwares over a period of some years you are presumably eligible (or were) to apply for a reimbursement. The article I read in the S.F. Chronicle last December said about 10% of the people qualifying had applied and that you had to apply by Jan. 8, 2005. It's software purchases from 1995 to 2001 of qualifying products. I filled out the form indicating that I'd bought Windows 2000 in 2001 and sent it in on 12/29/2004, and have gotten no word or the $16 I'm supposed to get. Does anyone know what's going on with that?
