Wirefly just posted some information on redeeming Wirefly Rebates Wirefly rebates. Apparently a lot of people aren't reading the rebate requirements and getting rejected. It's nice that Wirefly is trying to be more transparent about its rebates. The reason Wirefly gives for the long wait is that it takes the carrier that long to pay them, so they have to front the phones out of pocket. The carrier can claim fraud and take back the commission they paid to Wirefly to get the new customers unless you can show that you're still a customer.

Basically what Wirefly says is:
1. Make sure you use the proper forms.
2. Don't accept a "new account" offer unless you're really switching carriers.
3. Don't change your account after signing up
4. Don't just look at the deadline, also make sure you don't submit too early.

gosh, i had a horrible experience with rebateshq.com
Bought two cellphones that total 100 dollars in rebates, and they say my rebate is invalid. OMG.
I resubmitted it several times and it's still the same.
What can i do?

I sent in two rebates for Hawking Technology products 22 weeks ago. Their rebate web site shows the rebates as "In Process" I called two weeks ago and they stated there was a high demand, so wait 4 more weeks. However, they told me "4 more weeks" when I called 4 weeks prior to my last call! Any ideas? Can anything be done?

This is for jasonlclei and Vigil522. First I would ask where you purchased these items. If it was Fry's or Office Max you can go to the store and talk to the manager and you may have good luck in fixing it. If it was another store, I would still go to the store to make your case. Tell them that you bought the product based on the money back from the rebate and they need to be also held partially responsible, because their pricing within the store is based on the rebates and they are getting sales based on that.

If that doesn't work, hopefully you have an email address where you send information to the company involved in the rebate. If it's Hawking, go to their website and find where you send your customer complaints. Next send them an email detailing your travails, how long it's been, how you have held up your end of the deal and they have not. How your time is just as valuable as theirs. Now depending what state you are in and what state the vendor might be in, get that state's Attorney General's email address, your state Attorney General's email address, the FTC, the BBB, (the FTC and BBB email addresses are in the first post of this thread). Put all this together in an email that sounds like you are very disappointed and your patience has run out and you now mean business. Because, unless they act, you will send a complaint to all those email addresses you have in the email. Also reference the Compusa rebate fiasco that held Compusa responsible to get their rebates from vendors out in a timely fashion.
Lastly what I do, and you don't have to do this, is I have sent that email 10, 20 or 30 times to that same customer service email address to tell them I mean business. What they end up seeing is a block of emails from the same person and that usually indicates you are PO'd beyond words. I use this method sparingly, and only when other forms of communication have gone out the window. In my rebate career, I have only failed to get one rebate out of hundreds. You just need to have a little bulldog in you. Good luck.

I've ordered my last three mobile phones from Amazon and have had no problems on the last two.

I ordered an LG VX8100 with $50 Verizon rebate and $150 Amazon rebate on 8/18/2005. The $50 Verizon rebate showed up in like three weeks. I had to wait for the second month's bill to submit the Amazon rebate, but I was able to get it in by the 11/22/2005 deadline pretty easily. I kept copies of everything.

Yesterday a "Thank you for participating. We cannot honor your request because the service was cancelled, product returned, or ineligible" note arrived. I still have the phone and Verizon service.

I called the Scottsdale Rebate Status number. They gave me the Amazon number (800-201-7575). An Indian lady took my order ID, email, name, address, last 5 credit card, and expiration date just to transfer me to the cell phone division. The cell phone division lady took my phone number and said they'd submit a "rebate over-ride" and it'll take 6 to 8 weeks. She also suggests that I keep calling back to see what's going on.

Irritating.

There's a thread over at FW about this link, detailing Hawking rebate problems from purchases at several stores. Included are responses from Hawking customer service which seem to just say "wait, we promise we're going to pay - someday." Some people indicated that their status has changed to paid or almost paid in the last few days. I'd try taking the paperwork to the store where you purchased, if that's possible, and enlisting their help. Sometimes that gets results. Good luck!

Anyone here receive their MSI rebates?
It's almost 4 months now and I still haven't receive mine. (mobo + vga, $55)

These are the exclusive ZipZoomFly & MSI rebates, $30 for VGA and $25 for MSI K8N mobo

But here's the deal - I actually purchased it at 11PM on 12/30, but the order acknowledgement emailed to me says "order placed 2005-12-31 05:51:35"! Does Dell go by GMT or something? ANyone else having this problem?

For those of you who purchased the VisionTek Xtasy Radeon X800 128MB DDR PCI Express at Dell's 2005 year-end deal, an had their rebate bogusly invalidated:

They are using RebatesHQ for processing their rebates. However, attempting to contact RebatesHQ.com via their "Contact Us" link is useless because their required Rebate for Manufacturer field does not include Visiontek as a choice (I tried selecting Visioneer as the closest match, but so far no reply).

Best bet is to contact a RebatesHQ customer service Rep at 1-888-221-4692, Opt 2, then Opt 6 (they don't give 6 as a option, but it works anyway). Some of the other phone numbers listed at the start of this thread for RebatesHQ are no longer in service or redirect to other numbers for non-Visiontek manufacturers. I got thru on this number and eventually they validated it.:thumbsup: Said it will be another 6 weeks to get the rebate check.:roll:

RebatesHQ is the worst rebate center I've had to deal with so far. Looks like others in this thread could say the same. :|

I generally don't have problems with rebates but have had problems with SIX rebates since Black Friday. Four of them, they claimed never to have received (so far two are letting me re-submit). Two of them are "invalid."

PNY 6600GT $40 Newegg
Two weeks ago, found out they claimed invalid because "no UPC." Well guess what, PNY boxes do not have UPC codes and the rebate specifically said "proof of purchase cut from box." Hey look at that, there's a picture (with the word SAMPLE) on the rebate form and behold, there it is on the box. So I taped it to the rebate form where they say "attach here." Web site (rebatehq) said "no UPC" so I called them. They said to fax my copy of the proof of purchase and rebate form. I do just that. Today I check and it says "no receipt." WTF I mailed it to them to begin with and they didn't tell me to fax it. Costs me $1.05 to fax per page. :|

Found out yesterday they claimed invalid because "didn't purchase during rebate period." The rebate was good for purchases made 11/25 only, and that's the exact date I placed my order. However, Monarch put 11/29 on the invoice. I can log in to my account and it clearly says order date 11/25, but the only invoice I have (from their email) says 11/29. I believe Connect3D is doing the rebates in-house.

Those other four that they claim never showed up... ya know, I've been paying monthly bills for 15 years and NEVER had anything lost or even be late except for Citibank (and they lost a class action lawsuit because they had a habit of sitting on payments to "force" them to be late).

I really like the Staples Easy Rebate and CompUSA eRebates. Those, you just submit on their site and done deal, accepted.

Who is having trouble with ClubIT rebates? I sent in four from the Black Friday sale, and I have gotten nothing. I can't even get responses to e-mails or phone calls.

Well, I've re-submitted three rebates yesterday that were MIA or denied for bogus reasons:
PNY/Newegg manufacturer rebate $40 denied
Antec/Circuit City store rebate $20 MIA (TruePower II 480W Black Friday)
Seagate/CompUSA manufacturer rebate $40 MIA (200GB HDD Black Friday)

Two more, I have to do some calling around on:
Connect3D/Monarch manufacturer rebate $25 denied (X800GTO Black Friday)
BuffaloTech/Buy.com manufacturer rebate $15 MIA (wireless ethernet adaptor, December)

Today, checked the mailbox and had received SEVEN, I repeat, seven rebates!!!
HawkingTech/CompUSA manufacturer rebate $20 (wireless antenna Black Friday)
Antec/Circuit City manufacturer rebate $30 (TruePower II 480W second rebate Black Friday)
Zyxel/CompUSA store eRebate $10
Zyxel/CompUSA store eRebate $10
Zyxel/CompUSA manufacturer rebate $25
Zyxel/CompUSA manufacturer rebate $25
Zyxel/CompUSA manufacturer rebate $20
-all five Zyxel rebates were from day after Christmas for buying a wireless router and wireless NIC together, $110 plus tax minus $90 in rebates.

Rebates that are "in process" that I'm waiting on:
Corsair/Fry's manufacturer's rebate $40 (2GB day after Christmas)
Seagate/Outpost manufacturer's rebate $50 (400GB HDD)
IO Magic/Staples easy rebate $30 (DVDRW)

One other possible MIA rebate is a Hawking Tech secondary manufacturer's rebate of $10 that was supposedly stacked onto the $20 rebate from Black Friday. Gotta research into that one...

My Micro Center X850 XT $50 MIR is showing "Missing Valid/Original UPC Code" and are been denied.
This is totally bogus as I submitted TWO exact same rebate BOTH with UPC Code cut and inclouded and both are showing Missing UPC Code.

Hopefully you have copies of everything, so call up the rebate center and tell them you have all the copies and would they like you to fax them over. If that fails, which it shouldn't, grab your copies and go to Microcenter and talk to a supervisor. Be firm, but be polite.

Don't expect to ever see a rebate from KWorld. Can't even get information via e-mail. Check out other sites and you will see KWorld rebates are a scam! Their rebate form says to wait 16 weeks - guess they figure that you will forget.

Regarding the Microcenter X850XT rebate, I just talked to a rep at Microcenter and she told me that one of their manager people was dealing with ATI
on the issue. Then they would deal with the rebate center and get everyone their checks.

When I called and mentioned the issue the CSP asked me "would this happen to be for an ATI graphics card?" so they are on top of it.

My PNY $40 MIR from Black Friday is still denied.

They originally denied due to no UPC - hello, the PNY box does not have a UPC and the rebate form asks for the "Proof of Purchase" from the box that's shaped like a parallelogram, even giving a sample picture, and that's what I included.

They said to fax them my copies of completed rebate form and Proof of Purchase, so I did. Then they said invalid because no receipt. They did not ask for receipt to be faxed and it was included with original mailing.

Faxed it again, this time with EVERYTHING and they claim to have not received it, saying "our fax isn't working, please mail it."

GRRRR!~~ :|

I am still waiting on 2 rebates one from CompUSA for a wireless card that I bought on Jan. 1 and the other is from xfx for a 6600gt videocard I got from Newegg in 11-30 2005 anyone else have trouble.

Call the phone number on the rebate form and ask what the hold up is.

I also talked with a Microcenter rep on 3/21. I got the same story. I was told that ATI made a mistake on the UPC codes on the rebate form. ATI is supposed to contact the rebate center and correct the problem by the end of the week. The rep told me that I will get the rebate once ATI corrects the problem. We will see!
