I just noticed that CompUSA is advertising the 100 Imation CDRs w/ cases for $9.99 again.
Its 5 20 pack and there is a $8 and $4 rebate. They go to New Rochelle NY, but I am not on their online database.

Has anyone recieved their rebates from this promo, or if your getting in on it this time around. Could you give me the phone number to call.

i encourage all of u that have outstanding rebates from OD to write nasty e-mail to them too. they told me my rebates would be mail out in 11/9, but it has been 3 weeks all ready. here is another nasty e-mail i send to OD abt their rebates:

I am pretty sure their are many rebates overdue from other OD customers too.
Why can't corporate head qaurter at Office Depot just cut me my rebate
checks. Express Group keeps give me the run around all the @##(&^%%^#* time.
You can check the status of my rebates at Express Group and they are valid.
If OD does not mine keeping my rebate checks, I don't mine shopping at Staples,
becuase i do recieved my rebates within 6 weeks, not like OD. Six months and
counting!!!

Please forward this e-mail to Office Depot CEO, Bruce Nelson too.

I realize we can't all be great spellers, but at least proof it and fix the terrible grammar.

BTW, after you bitched them out is not the time to say: PLEASE forward this to the CEO!

As I said I would in my previous post, I called Express group today. It seems they don't have any info in the system? They told me to check back next week. I see some posts where some other people have had some problems with them. Please, if you have not gotten your rebate back yet please keep on top of them. I think OD is trying to screw us.

I guess you won't be getting paid from them. Take it up with your local store, although since the rebates were generally not advertised by the stores you might have problems there. Good luck. I'm fortunate in that I submitted mine long enough ago that I got paid for all of them.

Any coincidence that I just checked www.rebatestatus.com and my JamCam 3.0 $30 rebate is no longer found? I sent a webmail inquiry but don't expect a reply. I tried calling 877-776-3493 which was on the rebate form and it refers you to 800-531-2842 KB Gear Tech Supt. After getting a Tech Supt. Rep, he said try KBGear HQ at 952-656-6000. Haven't tried HQ yet, but if they liquidated we are SOL. Also going to try the direct line to www.rebatestatus.com 888-314-9908 mentioned previously.

EDIT: Just called the direct line to www.rebatestatus.com 888-314-9908. CSR said as of a week ago per an internal email, they are no longer handling KBGear rebates and referred me to the 800-531-2842 KB Gear Tech Supt. number. Looks like the KBGear HQ # is our last chance.

Just received my $20 rebates for the Spanish Now! and French Now! software from Staples back in Sept. I had written them off figuring I wouldn't get the $$$ so I was pleasantly surprised.

Has anyone had any trouble getting the IBM 500VA Office Professional UPS rebate from IBM?

I received the Circuit City rebate promptly but am still waiting on the IBM rebate.

Any suggestions?

Did anyone get the $90 CompUSA/Net Objects Fusion Rebate?

Net Objects went out of business and their company was sold. I imagine I will have to try and get my money from CUSA.

Anybody have experience with this?




Someone asked about the Staples/Transparent Language $20 rerbate . . . I got mine in late October.

Yes. Call CompUSA as they are handling it now. I had to fax copies of my rebate stuff to them and they paid it. I reported that in this thread, but, unfortunately, it was in that portion of the thread that recently disappeared. . Call 800-266-7872. I believe that it is option 1 (for having a touch tone phone), option 5 (customer service or rebate requests) and option 3 (rebates). Good luck!

staples will have the Hi-TECH 50pk CDR on sale, free after MIR on 12/9. So anyone missing the rebate form can still get a chance to get from them B&M (one form cover all the date ranges)

Here is the deal.... Me and two friends bought a bunch of compusa stuff with rebates.... some at midnight madness and one other occasion. Anyway...

Compusa is missing one of my rebates....
Compusa denied my friend for Samsung CD-R's
Compusa denied my other friend 2 rebates for a digital camera..

Basically Compusa just made 85 bucks off us, I feel ripped off I don't know what to do, is there any consumer protection..! Help!!

Take the printout(s) or postcards of the rebate denials to the CompUSA where you and your friends purchased the items and demand your money on the spot. If they will not pay then call CompUSA Corporate @ (972) 982-4000 ( Sorry no Toll Free number) and select the options for Consumer Relations (I think it is #2 and then #2 again if they have not changed it) and tell them your rebate woes and get your money. Also ask for a CompUSA GC for your trouble. CompUSA is very "sensitive" about rebate complaints since they were fined $50,000.00 last year for failure to pay rebates and have since changed rebate processing companies. However, their new rebate processing ccompany is not any better than the old one.

Thanks. I spent a loooong time on hold but they told me they would take care of it after sending proofs of purchase.

This deal was to buy 5 packs of 20 at $13 each. The ad indicates you send in 2 rebates for each pack (one for $4 and one for $8). IE: 10 rebates totalling $60.

The rebate forms say something entirely different. One form says buy 5 packs and receive $8 back, the other says buy 5 packs and receive $4 back. Each form says you need to purchase 5 packs and send in 5 UPCs (or copies) to get the rebate. So per the forms, you will receive only $12 back, not $60.

The CompUSA manager agreed that was what the forms said and told me she would email me the resolution after talking to corporate. Her email said to send in 10 separate rebate forms (5 each of the $8 and $4 ones), each with 5 copies of the UPCs and I would receive the face value for each of the rebate forms.

I went to another CompUSA store and they were aware of the problem and the manager there said that I should mail in ONE copy of the $4 rebate and ONE copy of the $12 rebate and they would send me $20 and $40 instead of what the signed rebate form says.

The rebate does not appear on the on-line store so I can't go there for a possible tie breaker.

With my luck, the second store is "right" and I do what the 1st store said, will be charged with mail fraud (or get $300 back ;-)).

Oh, the manager said if I don't get the right amount just come back to them in 3 months and they will make it right. Uh huh. If that works, I think I will stop making car payments and tell the bank the car salesman said I really only had to pay for one year even thought the contract said three years.

lsman, are you sure that it's 12/9? I'm looking at the form for the ones I bought this Sunday and it also lists a valid purchase date of 12/8...but nothing about 12/9...

Fellowes 224cd wallet at OM from mid August
...received the $10 rebate (called and left message on their voicemail 4 weeks ago, never retured call, called 5 days ago, they had automated message saying all those sent to them in Aug and Sept would be delayed until this week or so)

Samsung 50pack CDR at CompUSA from mid August
...had to call 4x and fax photocopies (they said my transaction number was that of another person's receipts, i was like what the heck, i paid in cash, there is no CC record, that transaction number must be same for cash users at that store...anyhow, convinced the CSR to mail out) finally ready to ship in early Jan
EDIT:// received this one (other one at wheresmyrebate.com says to be shipped 1/10/02


Fujifilm 4x 50 packs CDR at OM from mid Sept
...called today and they said not updated in their system (altho it's been almost 11wks since I mailed, argh). i faxed them my receipts/etc--long distance bills up the asscot i bet, hopefully will confirm soon
EDIT:// called again, said a check would be manually cut within 10 days
