Mailed 24 Nov, form said to allow 8 wks. Wasn't even going to call the BB Rbt Ctr 800-849-0444 until Jan 2002.
Received 8 Dec. That's 2 weeks. Send, process, return in 2 weeks! Thank you Best Buy!

BTW, I hit the century mark with this post. 100 and counting...

I am looking for some help with a Staples rebate. I am looking for the rebate information from label maker. This is the first time I have seem to lost my copies. I believe the rebate was valid thru 9/30. Staples rebate does not show receiving the form. Private message me if you can help.

You would think Staples could put such a large ck. in an enveolpe.

I just wanted to tell you that I received my $200 rebate from staples today. This is the rebate for the Win xp, fuji camera, smartmedia, photo pro. I also used a 25 dollar coupon when I originally ordered.

I just wanted to alert everyone that there is a situation brewing with those Elibrium rebates from the promotion that Amazon.com ran in September with all the free after rebate stuff. The rebates had all been showing up on CPG's website (www.rebatestatus.com), initially several were rejected if you had submitted for more than one product, but that looked like it had been fixed. Within the past week, the rebates have disappeared from CPG's website and CPG now tells callers that Elibrium is handling the rebates themselves. I have written to Amazon and Elibrium and have not gotten a response, although it's only been a day. There is a thread over on FW discussing this (I'm sure there was a discussion on the deal here but I don't see it anymore).

I also found the Elibrium rebate disappear last week. I may have to call in. (i only bought MyCDLabeler $22.9)
another one PhotoImpact 6.0 $45 MIR show check mailed. Should get it in 10 business day.

For a Staples rebate going through rebateshq.com, has anybody found a "standard" time that it takes to receive your check after they show the check number on the website??

I've been having trouble collecting rebates through www.wheresmyrebate.com. I have about 7 rebates outstanding right now. The biggest one is the CompUSA HP 215 digital camera & 610 printer from way back before summer.

My HP camera rebate (40 or 50 bucks) was rejected because it didn't have the right UPC code. I swear I gave them the right code cause for the past 3-4 months it said "Approved" on their www. wheresmyrebate.com website. Then suddenly it says "Denied" last week. I faxed them a copy of the UPC code but they said they never got it even though I have a confirmation faxsheet.

Related to that, I think I might have the wrong UPC code for the 2nd rebate for the HP 610 printer deal that went along with that combo. Can someone send email me a correct copy? There were like 3 different UPC barcodes on that printer box, and I threw the rest of the box away. Help would be much appreciated.

Calling CPG (the people handling the rebate) will do no good. They will tell you to contact Elibrium. Here are calling details from a thread elsewhere:

They have a new phone number that a recording gives to you when you call the other number (the number you get when calling the 877 number on the rebate form).

Bought these Friday and mailed the next day - this is by far the quickest response from a rebate offer. Waiting now for the GeForce 3 200Ti . . .

When I first found out that Elibrium rebate disappear from the CPG website, I called CPG right away (that was a few weeks ago). CPG rep. told me the reason it was not on it was because the promotion was over. When I called today, they told me my rebate was valid and I would get a check end of this month. May be the person I spoke to did not know what had happened with this promotion yet. Another Amazon rebate problem, $15 Jam-it, now this "free" software $69.99. I wrote an e-mail to Amazon. They should have some responsiblity for this since they ran the promotion with Elibrium.

I just called the McAfee # and my $40 was mailed out on Friday (and arrived Tuesday), so that is some good news.

I agree that Amazon is clearly responsible for the Elibrium rebates. Their name is on the rebate form. I got some garbage response from Amazon saying that the rebate is between the manufacturer and the consumer and I shot back that they are involved here as their name is on the form, and this is not an isolated case of just me not getting paid, it is likely thousands (or tens of thousands) of their customers getting ripped off and that the customer service person needed to alert management to this situation. I also pointed out that OfficeMax had to get involved when one of their suppliers (Prime Peripherals, remember them?) refused to pay, and that the FTC takes a dim view of things like this. I subsequently found a "feedback@amazon.com" address and forwarded my note to them. Is Jeff Bezos bezos@amazon.com? Anyone know if he (or some staffie) reads mail addressed to that?

On a side note, stay away from compusa rebates.... me and my gf bought the samsung cdrs on the same day, did our rebates the same, except different address, and billing info, i got approved, (although my check was "sent 11-24 and i have not seen it) she was denied. Went to the store, the manager was an asshole, i just wanted my money, he told me i was gonna have to calm down, eventual them fux0rs coughed up the loot.

I am envious of you folks who have already gotten their rebate checks. I can't get even get a email confirmation that my rebate submission has been received or God forbid a rejection postcard. Checked both Staples and RebatesHq to see if they have showed up and nada and I sent these in like a month ago in separate envelopes. One would think at least one of them would be confirmed as being received by now. I don't understand what the freaking hold up is.
