Staples Envision Monitor $100 rebate from 11/23

I purchased the above online on 11/23 (no Staples stores in Chicago are anyway). Today I found the rebate status posted online saying that it was not valid because it was not purchased on the required date!

I called them, told them I had the receipt showing it was ordered (purchased) on 11/23 eventhough it didn't ship until 11/26. They said "no problem, I'll fix it right now and you'll receive it in 4-6 weeks". They didn't ask me to fax the receipt or anything. I asked when the website rebate status would be updated, and they told me it already was and I could check it now.

Indeed it was, and it now shows my rebate is processing!

Anybody got $70 rebate for QPS 24x10x40 CDRW yet from compusa? I checked wheresmyrebate but it only shows compusa for $20.00. It was supposed to be sent end of november but I didn't get it. It just says approved. I don't even see the $50 rebate on the site. what gives, I think it has been 3 month now.

I think I might have set a record for the fastest rebate redemption ever (12 days, and that even includes two weekends, so 8 actual business days)...

I mailed off a rebate request ($30) for a stick of Centon memory I got at Circuitcity on 12/7.
They cut the check on 12/12.
I received the check on 12/19!

My Envision $100 rebate has showed up online and is in processing at StaplesRebates.com and also the PNY memory is online also but at RebatesHQ.com.

No idea why both were not listed at the same place but anyway, I hope I get my rebates soon.

Problem with Best Buy Rebate forms for $20.00 D-Link DI-704 router offered from 11/25/01 - 12/02/01.

After spending about an hour on the phone with the CSR at the BEST BUY rebate center, we both have decided that there is a problem with the in-store register printed form. The offer number and address for the above rebate was (by mistake!) the same as the D-LINK NIC $5.00 rebate offered at the same time. My $20.00 was rejected because it showed up in their system as a duplicate (as I had purchased both the NIC and ROUTER and sent both rebates in). The "IN STORE" printed forms had the same address for both rebates. The only differences was the model, sku and rebate amount. The CSR was dumbfounded?!?

The ONLINE rebate form had the correct offer number and address, but I (probably like many) didn't use that one!!!

It's in dispute and I have copies to back up everything I'm telling them (she couldn't believe that they had the same info for two different rebates?! :confused. If you purchased both and sent the forms (in-store forms) to the same offer, I would call and check to see if one was rejected...if so, well, you know...

Information: BB rebate center #: 1-800-849-0444

The "incorrect" offer number for the D-link router $20.00: #21637 (same as the $5.00 NIC offer)
The ONLINE offer number for the same router: #21681

The CSR did say that the #21637 did mention both a $5.00 and $20.00 but did not include the router model number. If you bought both, one will probably be rejected as it is ONE REBATE PER OFFER per ADDRESS!

(at least until they fix it)!

Thanks for the heads up Engineer. I pulled up the original deal thread and looked around. I saw your post and several others mentioning the offer# and PObox discrepancy. I also found the BB online rebate link HERE that is still available. After printing all the online rebate forms out and comparing them with my instore rebate forms, I am still confused. The offer#(21681) and PObox (9100) for both the router and the NIC are the same for the online rebates also. If we had used the online rebates we would have sent both the router and NIC rebates to the same offer# and PObox anyway so would it have been rejected also? Did the CSR check offer# 21681 and see if it was good for both items?

If yours is in dispute already you may want to call them up again and point them to the BB rebate link above so they can see the discrepancy for themselves.


And I had such high hopes for this new BB rebate center in Calais, ME after I received my WD 60GB $50 rebate so soon.

No, she didn't mention anything about it being for both, so now I'm confused even more as I didn't even remember the online addresses being the same...doh!!! I can see this turning into a big "TURN DOWN all The $20.00 REBATES" issue :| I have to call back in about a week (I'll call sooner ) to see the results...I'll keep you guys posted!

Has anyone received information about the CompUSA Visor/Glenayre $100 rebate yet? I am still waiting for confirmation and it's been about 4 weeks. I still have a window to return it under their Xmas return policy.

Today I got my $20.00 Best Buy rebate for the Digital Research CDRW deal on Black Friday. Very fast for a rebate. I'm happy!

Did anybody receive the $50 cash card from Chrysler for the test drive? I called them a couple of weeks ago, they said it would be sent out by the end of year.

Staples Envision $100 Black Friday rebate:

Just changed to valid status today, says I should receive check in 10-15 days.

I sent in the stuff on black friday and I used the $30 off $150 coupon too. They never said anything about the coupon, which I know htey gave some people a hard time about.

jfunk: me too. I used the coupon and my rebate status just changed to approved. Additionally, my purchase was made on line and delivered the next week so that's ok too.

EDIT: 12/24 The status shows a check number!!! woo-hoo!!!!!!

Received my first of four staples rebates from black Friday.

Mailed on 11/23, reveived on 12/22 - less than one month!

I've received the Circuit City Plantronics Headset (free after MIR), Maxell Batteries, and the first $100 rebate on the Motorola SB4100 Cable Modem. The Battery rebate came in about 7 weeks, Headset about 10, Modem about 12 weeks.

Also finally got my $15 BestBuy rebate on memory from LAST DECEMBER yesterday from TCA. There could have "had me" as it got so old I didn't go that far back in my rebate records (kept in date order) - I had to go searching to find the paper and mark it complete.

Still waiting on the second $100 Rebate from Comcast/Circuit City on the Modem. The one that required sending in the first month's bill so it went out about 6 weeks later. It's just reaching the 8 week window now so I'll be calling sometime next week to check status.

A few months ago i bought a Yamaha 16X cd-burner from amazon and they had a $50 Mail-In-Rebate. I put it off for a few weeks and then noticed that I lost the receipt so I emailed amazon and they sent me another receipt to me by mail. So i followed the directions for the rebate. A few weeks went by and Yesterday i got a postcard in the mail from Yamaha stating that they couldnt honor my request because "we did not receive an original UPC symbol or proof-of-purchase tab with my request." I know i sent everything because i still have the original box and the UPC symbol is missing and proof of purchase along with the receipt.


Can anyone help me out and tell me what my next step should be, the main reason why i bought this cd-burner was because of the $50 rebate.

Rebate form says 6 to 8 weeks...8 weeks for me is Friday the 21st...I'll be calling them right after Christmas. 5 bucks I can let slide, 100 bucks is an entirely different matter. :|

I would call them and ask what proof of purchase they require. Tell them what you cut out and sent. They may or may not just say OK. Tell them you will send them the rest of the box if they want. You should scan and keep a copy of everything you send as proof though. If they tell you they didn't get it and want to be jerks about, you're prolly SOL.

Finally received my $50.00 Blackout Buster 2 rebate from 06/2001 after several phone calls and a fax to CompUSA. I'm glad that they honor the rebates for purchases made at their stores when the manufacturer fails to do so!

Help needed quickly!! I have a short time to send rebate back.

Anyone who did the OfficeMax Win XP deal.
For the $50 dollar rebate, mine was returned for lacking correct upc for mem.

I need a copy of the UPC for the 256meg Kingston value ram.

If you scanned your rebate stuff please send me a copy of the mem UPC by e-mail.

Thanks to anyone who can help. I would go to an Officemax, buy, scan, and return it,
which the rebate CSR recommended, but we have none around here.
