12/26
Sent my submission certified mail on November 26. Still nothing on the web site, so I called and spoke with CSR, who suggested I fax a copy, just in case, and asked me to wait 72 hours for it to be entered into their system.
12/28 update:
They processed my claim the same day, but denied it. I called back this morning, and was told that the receipt was illegible, and suggested I mail it in. Rather than have them lose another copy and wait another month for my money, I re-faxed an enlarged, enhanced copy. Hope that does the trick.
12/28 update 1:
Just checked the web site, which now shows the 2 Handspring rebates approved - but not the two Xircom modems. Will have to call again Monday.
If it is true, as GetReal says that CompUSA is going under, then I will immediately file claims with my credit card company, who was very helpful during the Cyber-ripoff fiasco. Gonna get a printout of the approval, just in case.
