I am pretty sure that one of the PNY rebates for $20 is for the COMPUSA brand(which is really PNY) ram that was on sale around 11/20/01.

I think the other $20 is from the PNY ram bought at staples during the same week

ok...today..i got...the rebate from best buy before turkey day sale.. for the pny cdr 110... well i got the 14.99 and 10.00 rebate today..both came in the same day......what a surprise... and also i got the 50 cdr portfolio from staples also pny..... for 15$ today... 3 rebates in 1 day...nice nice nice... all from PNY eheheh...

ok..question..i send in the rebate for the... deal in staples for the apollo printer and scanner deal ? well i got the 50$ rebate from staples already... and anyone know how long it will take for me to get the apollo 40$ rebate ? well i checked the rebate site which is www.rebatestatus.com and its showing pending... or waiting.... umm..wonder how long that takes before they issue me a check ? well i bought this... bundle around christmas time.... please let me know how long it took u guys to get the apollo rebate and how was the outcome thanks.

Call. Thats what I did after seeing it processing for 8 weeks. Still took a couple of weeks to finally get the check.

I received 4 PNY rebates today.

If you want to match up your PNY rebates and you don't have a tracking number to check online then call RebatesHQ/Parago to check the status and ask them for the tracking number. It's in their computer. I did this last week and the CSR was able to give me all four of my PNY tracking numbers so that I could get the check numbers.

If everyone starts calling RebatesHQ/Parago for the tracking number, status and check number then they will have to add more CSRs to take calls then maybe they will start printing the offer# on the checks again so we can match up our rebates.

OD..is terrible

It took forever to get my $30 for 20GB hdd....bought end of Oct..just got the rebate...
They lost my submission for $30 rebate on the 30gb...had to call and resubmit all the info

Hival..$30 off 24x crom..Nov 21..still nothing...


Best Buy crucial rebate was awesome ..I mailed mine in Jan ..got within 1 mo

In my experience..Staples is very fast as well

I am avoiding OD from now on..too slow

CC rebate on Fujifilm cdr are at 2 months....nothing yet

CompUSA and QPS $50 rebate for 24x10x40 cdrw. csr said it is a manufacture rebate and QPS is not honoring their invoice to pay.

Philips 8xCDRW $40 farce: Called Philips CS center in early Jan, 2002. Was told that "all checks will be mailed out in January, 2002." Amazingly, I received the check this week!

Digital Research 52x CD Drive: Had to go to www.iomagic.com to inquire. Finally got my $30 rebate check this week after more than 6 months of mailing rebate.

CompUSA TDK VeloCD 12XCDRW $50 rebate: Wheresmyrebate.com promised to send check last October, but still no check. This is the second worst rebate I've encountered (Worst ever was the EZonics CrapCam for $20--I'm still waiting after 2.5 years).

Got my $20 rebate from Best Buy on the TDK 24X Cdrom drive in record time. It only took 3 weeks from
the day I mailed the rebate in to recieving my check. Still waiting on the $50 rebate for the same item.

That isn't really true. If you can track the rebate on their web site (a big IF since if you have too many in the system it doesn't find any, which is why submitting online is nice since you get the tracking #) then the check # will be in the rebate info. It's not pretty, but it works. >>

...lol....I can't see any more info on their website past June 2001 ...next page does not work...and submitting online well my password is invalid since Oct 2001...it worked well up til they changed their "updated" website....

Actually the 8 digit # may be on the check somewhere, I recall it's in very small type, so you could possibly use that to go to the web site and check.

Still have Hi-Tech CDR from Staples $15 and TDK 24X $50 from Best Buy rebates outstanding.

Has anyone ever gotten a Hi-Tech rebate check. I have been hearing bad things.

1 phone call on 2/5, which revealed an incorrect address.
9 weeks total.

CompUSA QPS 16x10x40 $90.00 rebate (free with Epson printer purchase).
Mailed 11/19/01.
Received 2/11/02
2 phone calls.
11 weeks total.

CompUSA/FMI 50 CDs $12.00 rebate.

With the receipt of the above 2 rebates, all of my rebates from CompUSA have been received, with the exception of a CompUSA/PARAGO rebate...I have still been unsuccessful in getting ANY rebates to be paid from Parago since last year. Seems to me that Parago is now much worse than TCA rebates. No more Staples/Parago purchases for me.

[Edit: just called Parago for my weekly call, and found that my last CompUSA rebate check has apparently been printed. All of my Staples rebates are still overdue and in a state of limbo, oldest one being from 10/31/01].

i will never buy any i/o magic again.have 5 seperate rebates from sept. of last year,called a month and a half ago and was told they
had nothing on record,maybe because of the holidays.what kind of holidays in the first week of october?anyway they told me to fax them

apparently, rebate centre screw up their data entry
check your status at rebateqhq.com and u will find it INVALID !!!

call 1-866-856-3966 and press 0 somewhere to talk to CSR

speak to a CSR and she told me that "as a one time courtesy, we will update your rebate status to valid"
WTF, they screw up their error and say it's NOT their fault

anyway, problem is being taken care,
keep an eye on this though

jimmyhaha - yeh I have received many of those "one time courtesy" validations over the phone from Parago/RebatesHQ. Seems like that this is their SOP

<< IOMagic is one of the worst. I will never buy their stuff again. Phone calls for my 30 and 20 rebates was a major hassle. You need to talk to a person and remind them of the BBB and the attorney general. Just say you've held up your end of the bargain and they haven't. Just bug 'em till they pay up and don't purchase from an unreliable vendor like them anymore. It's simple. Good luck >>



Unbeliveable!

I call them today since its been over 8 weeks and they have no record of even receiving my rebate request. Luckily I copied everything and kept good records since I know their track record. They claim I'll have it in 1-2 weeks but we shall see. Don't bother E-MAIL them because when I did they just send the form letter saying it takes 8-10 weeks and now they are behind. They didn't even bother to check my status even when they had all the information I had given them. I'll give them another chance then its off to the FTC and BBB to complain!
