«..but how does everyone save electronic copies of their rebate forms, emails, ect? »
I scan all the documentation for each submission and save the files in a dedicated "Rebate Docs" folder on the system. I use Rebate! Rebate! to track all submissions and always store the name of the file in the comments field on the rebate tab. If I have to write a followup letter, I store the document name there too. It would be nice if it could be hyperlinked but the program is not being updated so I make do.
One thing I've found helpful, is to scan both sides of any coupons so that I have a copy of the original terms. I also keep all the packaging until I get the check so that I can take everything back if something doesn't come through. I just had to do that with a CF adapter for my Visor that I bought in August. The rebate still hasn't come so I took it back to CompUSA on Sunday.
If you don't like Rebate!Rebate!, you can check out Rebate Tracker too.
