Post the latest information about various rebates, here. If you want your posts to be helpful, keep them factual. If you believe there is a problem with a specific rebate, do your homework and learn the facts before you post. DO NOT speculate about what may or may not be happening.

The most helpful posts include:

1. Verified contact information (mailing addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, names etc.) for rebate sources. Active links always help.

2. Accurate details of the kinds of proof of purchase and other documentation required (UPC codes, receipts, etc.).

3. Significant updates and changes in any of the above info.

1) Read rebate requirements before you buy the product or as soon as you buy the product to be sure you meet the eligibility requirements and you know the mail-in dates.
2) If you are buying a product and the rebate is online, download and/or print the rebate immediately. Some online sites will remove rebates as soon as the sale/promotion is over.
3) ALWAYS make good copies of everything you send in for a rebate.
4) Complete all information requested on rebate form in a legible hand writing. You may want to use all caps.
5) Provide all documents requested on the rebate form.
6) Put your rebate documentation and copies in a safe place and follow up on the dates they are due.
7) Call about your rebate if you do not receive it when it is due.

Is anyone under the same situation as me? I sent my $50 rebate for the GF3 deal at bestbuy maybe like a few days later after the deal ended and at wheresmyrebate it shows it as not having any records...should I be concerned? I read some threads already about people receiving their rebates already! What should I do?

Got a rejection postcard from Parago for a Staples rebate I allegedly submitted for a Lexmark Z42 printer. Strange thing is, I never submitted said rebate. My current thinking is that it's yet another variety of rejection for the PNY memory, which most people are getting rejected with the "wrong UPC" error. I have the same rejection but for a different product . It sure would have been nice if they'd put these one day rebate deals on their web site so I could have entered it online to be able to track that way.

People are not receiving the GF3 rebates yet. They are receiving BB paid rebates (e.g. $50 WD 60GB HD) and the GF3 is not a BB paid rebate. Mine is listed at wheresmyrebate.com and is scheduled for mailing in February. I would call them to verify they have received yours. Sometimes they have them but don't list them on the web site for some reason.

Parago is screwing up Staples rebates big time. They have already incorrectly denied two of my rebates. Fortunately they just validated my $50 Z42 printer rebate.

Can anyone confirm that you needed to purchase XP Home FULL to get the PNY 128mb $20 rebate?

Parago/Staples rejected mine saying I didn't include the XP Home FULL UPC. (I Bought the Upgrade ver.)
It seems like alot of people are getting dinged on this one for a variety of reasons.

It's funny because the rebate form (just found it) explicitly asks for the UPC from XP Pro or XP Home FULL, or a PC with XP.
So I used the wrong form or there was some indication that they'd take the upgrade UPC (CSR, email, etc.)

Either that or I'm a moron and bought 128MB I don't even need, then sent in a rebate I have no hope of getting

What does limit one per name/family/address really mean?

Does it mean my roommate, who has a different name/family cannot get the rebate since he has the same address? What about my brother in another state that is the same family but different address??

anyone know where i can search for my $50 Nike Psa60 rebate (fry's) and $20 Antec SX830 rebate (outpost)? i've searched but i'm not getting any matches, i'm wondering if they've been lost in which case i need to do something about it!

The outpost.com $20 Antec case rebate went to TCArebates (New Rochelle, NY). I don't see my rebate listed either. Mailed mine on 12/5.

I recieved my $30 rebate for a
Labtec Web camera from staples, free after rebate deal

bought 10/31 and was mailed to McAllen TX

average turnaround I guess-2 months

Just received (12/31/01) my rebate from a Verbatim $5.00 rebate from way back in July.

That takes care of two very old rebates (my oldest). One from May that I received last week and
one from July as above.

Just received (and my neighbor did also) a $50.00 rebate for the purchase of a 60 GB Western Digital hard drive (5400 RPM) from Best Buy during the sale on November 23 and 24 (Thanksgiving Day weekend).

I am still waiting on my AVB vibration mouse from Amazon.com rebate which was supposed to be free. I think the check should be for $29.99. Anyone get their check yet? It has been 8 weeks already and the turn around time is supposed to be 4-6 weeks. Also, on the rebate form, there is no number or website to check on the stauts. Anyone have any news of this rebate yet?

BTW, anyone send in their $50 rebate for the GF3 card at bestbuy already but are not yet listed on the website like me yet? Seems like i'm getting burned on a lot of these rebates...

Just a reminder...

For those of you who bought both the DLink DI704 Gateway router and the DLink 10/100 NIC at Best Buy during the week of November 25th and had the "SAME" address and OFFER NUMBER listed on the printed MIR forms from Best Buy ($20.00 for the Router and $5.00 for the NIC), that Best Buy Rebate Center is refusing (at least my case) to honor both because they say "Only one rebate per household" even though they "Screwed up" and placed the same offer number and address on both rebates. Have argued until blue in the face with no resolve (both CSR and CSR managers). Still haven't given up (as my $20.00 was the one rejected :|)...

FYI....hope the rest of you have better luck...

Try calling BB Customer Relations at 800-369-5050 opt. 5. I called them as a last resort on a $10 RAM rebate from this past summer. I went through their old rebate center, new rebate center and regular BB customer service and they all refused to pay my valid $10 rebate. When I called their Customer Relations group and asked them for their email address because I was about to file a complaint with the FTC, BBB and State Attorney General and I wanted to send BB a copy, the nice CSR asked about the details of the problem to see if he could assist. He truly seemed sympathetic to my plight and sent me 2 - $10 BB GCs to make up for the $10 rebate and my frustration. I took it because I figured it was the best deal I would get.

Make sure you tell them to get that problem fixed because other BB customers will be calling to complain about their screwup (like me ). I plan to call them this coming week to check the status of my $5 NIC rebate.

The rebate is fulfilled by the manufacturer, so just go to their website and ask customer service where your money is.

still haven't received my rebate check from Circuit City.
it was for an Sti Digital Media 650mb 4x CD-RW
$4.95 - $4.95 = 0 after rebate

it's been almost 4 months...

Give it another 2 months - from what I read in the forums, it seems that CircusCity rebates average around 6 months...that's why I have never participated in any of their rebate items.

CC rebates take almost 12 weeks. (That's my experiece).

However they always pay them. Never got stuck once yet. Since July of 2001 I have had about 20
rebate transactions with them.

It's a little off-topic....but how does everyone save electronic copies of their rebate forms, emails, ect? I'm using WinXP, and dirrections or suggestions would be appreciated.
