For those of you who purchased the Circuit City Mobility Electronics USB Dock, watch out.

I just had the $25 Circuit City rebate approved, but both the $25 and $50 rebate denied on the basis that:

Totally bogus. I complied with all the requirements of their offer. They are trying to reject payment of $75 worth of rebates because I had to send in the rebates in separate envelopes, as per rebate instructions. Anyone else have any luck? Who should I call. Check your status at Wheresmyrebate.com.

I did NOT want to pay $75 extra for their crappy product. It would be worth it for around $7.

Got today EPO 16X DVD $30 rebate. bought 12/2/2001 from CompUSA. Call 18886550854 many times only get answering machine. Was too lazy to drop by CompUSA.

Now only one rebate unpaid from 11/23/2001 left from OM, Techno Defender Hand-Free Speaker Phone 12.99 MIR. Called many times also. 18009934260.

I just got an email telling me my rebate is on the way, even though I never bought this or sent in such a rebate.

Anyway, now I guess I know where all the lost rebates go to...

Finally got my 30 dollar Staples rebate for the pacific digital 24x10x40 CDRW drive from back in January . Geeze this was slow .

12 weeks for a rebate seems to be an average to good time, unfortunately. Some people have said Staples is turning around rebates fairly fast, so maybe yours was bad luck If I had received my New Rochelle rebates in 12 weeks I would still be purchasing with rebates. All but one of my last nine from New Rochelle took 14-17 weeks (with at least a dozen phone calls). A 5.00 rebate from CompUsa for CD Stomper labels didn't even get posted so I surrendered.:disgust:

I only recently received my $50 rebate for a Pacific Digital 16x10x40 CDRW from Staples back on Black Friday. Last time I called Parago to check the status they said Pacific Digital had not released the funds. I think Pacific Digital was the real problem and not Staples.

<< Watch out! Imation is trying to not pay the $25 rebate on its 100CDR spindle. They just told me that "they didn't receive the UPC." After asking me if I sent it, which I did, they asked if I had evidence. A scan... but of course to them that is not evidence. There is no way to prove that you sent it in! They said a scan didn't prove anything, and that "a hundred" of these have come in without UPCs. Yeah, right. Some moron is either accidently loosing them in processing there or they are "loosing" them. I'm sure 100s of people are committing fraud and sending these things in to them... I spoke with the supervisor, who said to call back in 7-10 days so that they can "research" the matter. Don't let them say no! >>

got mine today (my sis got hers also )was pretty quick turnaround also from the Staples operation (the one where they had all the goodies behind the counter..$7.94 a 100..not too shabby..). And got my $70 Visioneer 8100 one also. Now if the OM ones come just as fast................

I got my $70 Visioneer Staples and my $50 Viewsonic OD (Grand total $99 for a 19") rebates in the past two weeks, in that order.

I'm STILL waiting on that 24x12x40x Pacifica Digital $30 rebate though. HOWEVER, even @ like FOUR months now...THAT CDR is STILL a hot deal @ only $30 and change!!!

After this one comes in and my other outstanding ones...I really think that this will be the end of the rebate hassling for me... ahh well! I won't miss the hassle!

I got the $25 from CC several weeks ago, but the other 2 rebates ($25 and $50) from whereismyrebate never show up in the rebate status. So I called, resubmitted the rebate thru fax, and finally got the 2 checks yesterday.

Still waiting on a $30.00 rebate on a portable /speaker IBM phone from December at Staples.
Wrote about this and two others to Staples - Office of the President about 5 weeks ago and got
a call that they would all be paid in about two weeks. Well I did get two of the rebates but
not the above one. I have another letter written (nasty this time) and it will go in the mail
tomorrow.

Got a rejection email about my CompUSA/80 gig HD from 02/02. Stated that I did not send in part of
box that I needed to. Luckily I still kept the box and they were right. I faxed them the info and they
stated that they would process it. Don't want to miss out on my $80.00 deal.

Got a dispute with Fuji about a $5.00 rebate. Sent in for two rebates and only received one of them.
I notice that Fuji rebates aren't the best in the world. This is my second dispute with them in two
tries.

Fuji rebate is definitely not the best. I mailed in both visioneer scanner rebate and fuji rebate on the same day. I already receive the $70 rebate from staple and have not seen fuji rebate yet! The www.myrewards.info is a stupid moth#rfvcker scam! You still need to wait 6 weeks to get the rebate back. :disgust:
By the way, I also got the memorex $10 rebate from January(finally!!) and $40 rebate from ATT wireless service( another finally!!) So I only have $14 of fuji rebates in the waiting now. I use two address to make sure I can get them both back Status as of today: printing check. Looks like I am gonna get these in a couple weeks also.

I bought a Belkin PCMCIA network card on 03/16 from OM when I went to the States (I'm from Canada). I really don't have a need for it anymore. The 30-day return policy is nearing, and I was wondering if there's any way for me to get my money back? I haven't opened the packaging or anything yet. How lenient is OM on returning post-policy items? Is it possible to return the item in a different state?

Advice greatly appreciated.

CONCERNS:

1) $40 rebate from ELSA purchased from Buy.com, I hope I get it, I heard ELSA is going through some tough financial times!

2) $20 Via Voice from staples, I just found out all the problems people were having with it (i.e. LOOOOONG delays) and I should have skipped on it! ARGH!

3) Still waiting on my $20 rebate from IBM on the IBM Web Cam deal at BestBuy from a while ago.

I hope I don't lose the $80!

Here's an email I just sent to wheresmyrebate.com & forwarded to CompUSA:

My friends and I (a total of 6 of us) submitted our CompUSA Hanspring $100 rebates nearly four months ago. I have followed up on two occassions over the telephone and both times was assured that the rebates would be sent shortly. They have not been sent. We are going to give this one more week before we begin submitting letters both to the Texas Attorney General's Office and CompUSA regarding your failure to meet these obligations.

I would suggest you track these down and get them out the door immediately. Both the representatives I have spoken to as well as your web site indicated that they rebates would be sent in March. Apparently, your web site is as accurate as your business practices are honest. I will make one more attempt to contact a manager there by phone. I really should not have to go to all this trouble to convince your company to fulfill its obligations and I will make that apparent in the letters that will be written.

I'm getting really aggravated with these rebate places that go out of their way to not send rebates. I realize that they rely to some extent on the expectation that people will not submit for some of these rebates, but I think that what they're doing borders on illegal...

Hello All,
This is a heads up for those who got the CenDyne/Officemax 24x cd-rw rebate from the end of february. Unfortunately, the folks issued a rebate check of only $20 instead of $40. Recall that this rebate form had multiple offers in it ($20, $30 and $40). Probably just an honest mistake but you gotta be cognizant.

I called 1-877-580-3348, navigated the multiple prompts to get to a person, and she cleared it up for me in about 15 minutes.

Finally got the Compusa 128MB $20.00 rebate from everyone else's favorite rebate house, Parago, after months of calling and waiting and waiting and calling.

Mailed: 11/19/01
Due: 1/19/02
Phone calls: too many to count, more than 10
Supervisors called: at least 7
Escalations: at least 3
Received: 4/15/02
Total time: about 20 weeks

The worst part is that these a$$wipe$ gave me a check number on February 11th, and told me it was printed, BUT that it was NOT mailed. Each time I called them about it, I was told the same thing - we issued a check, but it hasn't been mailed. Yet, they required that 60 days pass before they could 'issue a new check.' Can you say SCAM?

On a positive note, Parago approved my Dazzle reader rebate within 3 weeks, and have issued a check number already...maybe they'll figure out how to get this one into a mailbox in less than 3 months time :Q

Seems a lot of people lately are being told by Parago that manufacturers "haven't funded the promotion yet"...you'd think the funds would be there when the promotion starts.

i got the $30 rebate check for the tigerdirect cybermail xtreme tv tuner card from http://www.wheresmyrebate.com last saturday.

sent it out last november. after about 5 months, at last i got the check. my estimated check mail date was feb 9th - i got the check in april after a phone call. sometimes i wonder if they just think that you would forget about it. lol.
