Got $300.00 from MSN for the MSN Holiday Promo today. Finally.

Today I got a post card saying that my submission of $20 MIR on Cendyne 24x10x40 inter CDRW can not be honored due to the reason that:
The serial number submitted is not included in the promotion.
I just can't understand why that's the excuse they use to reject my rebate.
I bought it on 19th,Jan at OfficeMAX. I included both UPC and serial number in the submission package.
Anyone else experience this?
I will call them back to argue.
Should I call officemax too?

welp finally got through to express group. just told them my name /address and they check (a LONG time waiting on hold, a long time for them to view my account...damn incompetent fools) and finally she gets back to me saying the check will be shipped march 8th. sigh. Oh well, atleast they didnt invalidate it as they said in the previous emails. Either they didnt..or they just bought themselves 2 more weeks. If i see no check by the 15'th ill be on their lines again no doubt about it.

The lady told me they have it postmarked dec. 15th, so feb 15th would be just about 8weeks, and the rebate takes 8-12 weeks to mail out, so theyre mailing it on the 12th week just in spite i guess If these don't start arriving by 2-3 week of march, we gotta start callin OD and gettin on their asses.

FYI the center that process most of the staples rebate finally fixed their web pages code. Now I can check all the rebates. (It was only one page only before, the "Next" did not work. Now it works.)

Isman the RebatesHQ /Staples rebate status page is still not working for some of us. In your case, some of your older rebates probably rolled off their system and fixed the specific problem that you were experiencing. Old rebates stay in the Rebate HQ system for a period of one year. If during a rolling one year period your total rebate requests exceeed 50, you will expeience all sort of problems when you search the RebatesHQ / Staples rebate center site by your name, address, P/N, zip code , etc vs using a tracking number. Another source of the "missing page" syndrome occurs when you submit an online rebate request and then later mail in a store rebate form for the same offer. For some reason, the BEA weblogic reporting system that Parago uses a its rebate reporting front end is "not fixable" accrording to Parago You would think that as much as BEA charges for their software that Parago would have BEA fix the problems ASAP!

Thanks for that info, lsman. Now if they could only fix their system for sending out checks...I just got off the phone with Parago again a minute ago, and all of my overdue, approved rebates are still in limbo. Anybody know the real story behind what's wrong at Parago? They used to be great, but now they're slow as molasses.

Merlin 74: I bought the Cendyne on 2-10-02 for the (Offfice Max only) Feb. rebate for $30 off for the 16-10-40. I got a e-mail linking me to RebatesHQ. Rebates HQ informed me that my rebate was invalid because the CD-RW was not purchased during the correct period. This is clearly wrong as the valid dates on the rebate form stated 2-3 to 3-2. I called Office Max, told me to call the rebate fullfillment company. I called the rebate center told me to have a manager from Office Max call and "escalate" the claim. Last step, I called Office Max again said they would contact RebatesHQ or send me a $30 gift certificate. I took the gift certificate. They told me I'd get it in 5 days. Hope this may help you.

as far as in my experience, i have only 2 pages on their system. The 2nd page is not shown before. But now i can see them all, and so are on staplerebates. All of them are still there (the old one). So i am not sure about the rolled off or not.
I have another page that i used before ( Maybe my first name is a bit different to get it right. They always misspell it one way or the other. So i have 2 names!).

RebatesHQ/Parago now lists 3 pages of my rebates. The oldest rebate is dated 5/2000.

I finally received my $20 Philips rebate today for the AE sound card I bought from BB in Nov, 2001. They kept telling me that they mailed it on 1/28 but the postmark says it was actually mailed on 2/19. They assured me that 1/28 was the date it actually mailed. Morons.

Staplesrebates.com still not fixed for me, I don't see anything. Really sucks, too.

I also got my $20 MSN holiday rebate today. Also $39.98 for 2 of the camcorder bags from Circuit City. This was the one from the second sale.. I had previously gotten a check for just one of them and I need to find my paperwork because I think I was supposed to get paid for 2 of them the first time as well. I guess I can just check my bag and see how many I have left since my kids are using 2 of the for Gameboys.

Re: RIO 600 "Free after Rebate" deal at Best Buy

Well add me to the list of those getting the "non-qualifying store" rejection notice for the RIO 600 $50 rebate. (Check yours at www.rebatestatus.com)

This just seems a bit nutty since the rebate form was printed out by Best Buy along with the RIO 600 receipt.

I'll call Best Buy at the number listed in the RIO 600 thread below (1-800-849-0444 ) on Monday. Ugh. What a pain.

But a big "Thank You!" to the folks posting this development on this forum. I love this forum.

This is a heads up for anyone who bought more than one type of Crucial RAM on sale with a $10 rebate at BB back in December. I bought one 256MB DDR and one 256MB PC133 SDRAM. I sent in both rebates. I received one $10 rebate check several weeks ago but could not identify which RAM it was for. I called the number on the rebate form (888-363-5170) several days ago to check on the other rebate. The CSR took my info and said he would have to send an email to the group that investigates these issues. I received an email yesterday with their response which was that my second rebate was denied. But, they said they would validate and process it. They did not say why it was denied but my guess is that they thought it was a duplicate. There was no offer or dept. number on the mail in address for the rebate. Both rebate forms said "Crucial-Best Buy Holiday Promo" and went to Calais, ME.

Just a warning about the MSN Rebate.

The rebate comes in an MSN envelope that looks just like junk mail. I almost threw it away without looking.

Finally got $20 from CompUSA/PNY 128Mb ram on the winXP launch promo. Only 4 month turnaround. Also last week got $12 Compusa 50Pk CDR. That took 3 month.
Boy, will I think twice now before buying anything from compusa that carries rebate.

It's a promotion in early September last year. Circuit City's rebate sucks big time!

I always have trouble with them, and they ALWAYS delay sending the checks!

They said the reciept was illegible and they couldn't read the STORE NAME. Am i basically screwed, or is there anything i can do about this?
