Seems right, I called them. The CSR said that the "manufacturer had extended the rebate processing timeframe." I mentioned that I had mailed in the rebate about 3months/90 days/12 weeks ago.

He said he's expedite it, said it'd go out tomorrow, said I 'd have it by next week....

Got my $30 rebate for the Microsoft Sidewinder Pro Force Feedback (or SWPFF as they call it on the rebate check). I bought it at the end of December, but I don't believe I sent it in until the end of January, so it looks like MS is back to quick turnaround again. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

I called McAfee Rebate center today and they said they lost my rebate mail. To re-claim my rebate I need to submit a copy of the front page of the manual, but I don't have the manual anymore, so if someone could kindly email it to me, I would greatly appreciate it. Email: D4ydreamer@yahoo.com

Yeah, TCA has been doing that a lot with rebates, "extending the rebate processing timeframe". In English, that means that the manufacturer/retailer doesn't want to pay yet, or TCA hasn't received their money to pay you with yet. Either way, it sucks.

For anyone waiting on the western dig outpost rebate for 75 dollars I called the call in number today and she had no record of my rabate so I had to fax in a resubmittal. The call in is 888 292 0667 and the fax number is 405 302 3626. They were nice enough and said to call back in 72 hours to confirm. I did receive my 80/60/40 80 dollar rebate from them this week from Staples offer.

Just a side note...make sure you cash the rebates you get in time. I just missed 60 days and tried cashing it anyways...the check bounced and I had to pay a fee.

I just received $50 rebate for $59 TDK 24x VeloCD that I got from BestBuys 2 months ago. And then sold on ebay for $110, the easiest $100 Ive ever made

Yes, the 50 disks from OM bought on 11/26, I just got my $10 MIR onn 2/19

Also yesterday got TaxCut 14.99 rebate (free with Money 2002, and hope get money back with the $10 off $40 coupon with staples), still wait for the Money 2002 rebate.

Still have not got from 11/23 black friday deal:
Defender Handfree phone device for driver $12.99 from OM, (will call this NJ address again)
Hi-Tech 50pk CDR $15 from staples (send in a email and they just add it, was planned to go to local B&M, save the trip)
Dymo labeler $58 from staples (send in the same email, the CSR "KINDLY" add another entry to my account and it invalid both! they said the check is cashed ?? will investigate...etc etc)

Also, a couple CompUSA deal just took long time: CDRW, HD...

Recently received a $10 BB/MS rebate for Intellimouse Optical (early January) and a $20 Cendyne/OfficeMax 16x10x40 CDRW rebate (late December).

The Cendyne rebate was a pleasant surprise as I'd read too many negative comments about their previous fulfillment contractor.

Anyone else waiting for the $50 CrapUSA All-In-Wonder Radeon rebate from mid-January?

This currently is my all time record for fastest rebate. Purchased 2/10, mailed 2/11, and received 2/28.
I say 17 days is pretty darn good and I give BestBuy three smiles and a big old grin for this rebate.



Now the wait for D-Links $30 manufacturer rebate begins.

About a month ago, Staples had a sale on Transparent Language programs ($20, maximum of 3 per per household). Since it was a manufacturer rebate, from somebody I never heard of, I was sceptical....but I got it back yesterday.....less than 30 turnaround! I have to recommend them.

i know the expressgroup.com handle the CDR, don't know anout the RAM, check online first and see if they are there.

Just called 800-390-2344 and the CSR told me the mailing date was 20 Mar 2002. I politely told him I've been checking the website periodically since 2 Jan and the date has always been 17 Feb 2002. He then said "Oh, I can expedite that and get it out tomorrow." "That would be nice, thank you."

If you want your money, take 5 minutes and make the call.

Well, inspired by all of the successful calls I decided to pick up the phone to Wheresmyrebate.com. Their online status listed me twice, both with DENIED. Call the 800#, got a very nice lady who approved the rebate (said they probably made a mistake) and I should see it in 7-10 days. Something must be wrong -- it's not supposed to be THAT easy with the rebate people. My 2 cents

UPDATE: About the Best Buy turkey day GF3 Ti200 $50 rebates...
I bought 2, sent in the rebates, 1 for myself, 1 for my brother. Both denied due to some BS
reason they came up with: Same receipt used by more than one customer.

Anyway, all it took was like 6-7 phone calls, 2 faxes (they claimed they never got the first one,
or the faxes may have been down). According to their website, both rebates 1 rebates was sent
out 2/27/02, the other on 2/28/02....

These characters are getting so shady now-a-days... You gotta actually take time to follow up on them...
Anyway, had sold both cards, so each $50 is mine.

Called about the Pacific Digital rebate that they say was "lost in the mail" and they still have "nothing" . He asked if I had copies and I told him the truth that no I did not have any copies since my HD crapped out a couple weeks ago . He told me to call back next week and see if the status has changed . Im just going to call the Staples store I bought it from and see if they can help me out any . If not I guess Ill return the item to Staples and let them deal with a box that has a hole in it from the UPC I sent thier rebate company that "lost" it .

Help with Compusa Rebate for HP Camera and HP Printer from May
In May Compusa had the offer of a $100 gift card with purchase of a camera and printer.
There was also a rebate of $40 for buying the HP200 and a $20 rebate for buying the HP610CL.
According to Compusa, I need to resubmit the rebates as some info was not processed. I am not home and won't be for about a month, does anyone have a scan of those 2 UPCs and the r3 ebates forms? I desperately need them. Thanks

FOR COMPUSA HANDSPRING/VISOR DEAL:
It seems that they are postponing mailing out the rebates for another month after the listed mail date- I called to find out about my check, and the CS told me about the scheduled delay. BUT-since I called, she very nicely offered to mail it within the next day or so, and it showed "mailed" by the next day. Call the 800#- I got right through, no problem. BTW- they can check up to 3 rebates per phone call. So, having mailed it on 11/27, it will only take 3+ months to get the rebate:disgust:, but that's better than four and a half (I guess that's how they make their money on it- between all the people who forget to mail it in, and all theiur rejections for whatever reason they decide, and then their postponements...)
the check really was mailed- received it yesterday. Visor for tax!!!!!!
