I agree. A lot of the crap they are pulling is plain illegal. I wouldn't be surprised to see one of these companies employees arrested one of these days.

I also wouldn't be surprised if they aren't rejecting rebates only so they can pocket the money for themself.

Got my CC Belkin USB hub rebate today, very disappppointing timing, more like the old days when they handled their own rebates. Better late than never, I guess.

Also received 4 CompUSA rebates: 2 for that Franklin organizer, and for Grolliers & Encarta Encyclopedias. I think they were all from November. Bleech. I'm owed a bunch more from CompUSA, hopefully they will all start showing up now.

Does anyone have info on the Maxtor 20GB 5400RPM Hard Drive from Staples? Purchased it Feb 17 during their 2 day sale where they offered rebates on other stuff two like modems, speakers, web cam, etc. I can't find the form on rebateshq any longer? I think it was for $30.

BUMP! for the BB GF3 Ti200 $50 rebates.

Just called 800-390-2344 and the CSR told me the mailing date was 20 Mar 2002. I politely told him I've been checking the website periodically since 2 Jan and the date has always been 17 Feb 2002. He then said "Oh, I can expedite that and get it out tomorrow." "That would be nice, thank you."

If you want your money, take 5 minutes and make the call. >>



Got my $50 check this past Thursday, Mar. 7th and cashed it Friday.

Also got my other rebate from them: $30 rebate for Maxtor 60GB 7200RPM from CompUSA.

I submitted this afterpurchasing from Outpost when they're recently been acquired by Fry's. Was $175059 = 125. I checked rebatestatus.com today and saw this message:

Ok, I just bought 2 spindles of Fujifilm CD-R today(thanks to hot deal forum). I want to receive my rebate within 20 days, so I pre-register at www.myrewards.info. I click the submit button and the page says that I will receive my 2 ebate checks for $7 within 20 days after they receive all of the following paperwork:
1. a printed copy of the screen
2. original of the store register receipt with the eligible product circled
3. original upc code from the CD-R 50 pack spindle
4. the original ebate.
Now, here is the problem....on #2...do I really need to circle the items? that sounds stupid to me...also, what do they mean by the original of the store register receipt....do they mean the rebate form...or the rebate receipt.......or the sale receipt which I am supposed to keep for myself?
On #4...the original ebate? huh? what's that?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

It seems that the rebate is limited to 1 per household on the fuji 50 pack deal at bb. I emailed them about it, but have yet to get an answer

DAMN THESE REBATES!

The things these companies are doing should be criminal acts. GF3 Ti200 rebate victim here as well. Est. check mail date of 2/26/02, still nothing and it's been nearly 3 weeks. Called 800 number at the time of this post and it's BUSY! I'll have to keep trying but I hate busy 800 numbers. At least set up a decent voice response unit to answer the call and order enough voice circuits from the phone company!

I got my $15 rebate from PNY for the 256MB Memory stick at Office Depot They had sent me a card saying I submited the wrong UPC But after I called and pointed out that that UPC, when scaned at the check out, the cash register automaticly printed out the rebate form, they said they would issue the check .

EDIT: Got through...only because the damn place is closed. According to the recorded message, normal business hours are M-F, 9:00AM-5:00PM EST. Will try right at 9:00 EST tommorrow. This is very frustrating. I think someone needs to bring a lawsuit against these scoundrels.

Received Black Friday Stuff from CompUSA as well: $30 for HiVal CD-R/W (the other $40 came a while ago), $4 for Sprint phone cards, and $20 for Best Data modem. 6-8 weeks they say! Hah!

Also received $20 for IBM 2.4GHZ phone for Staples. Sent 2/6/02, printed 3/7/02, received 3/11/02. Now that's timely!

Anybody buy the Pacific Digital 16x CDRW with the $50 rebate from Staples on Black Friday. They originally denied my rebate saying the purchase date was not within the rebate timeframe. I called and got that straight but I keep checking the status of my rebate and it says processing. I've called them several times over the past month and they keep giving me the runaround. I finally got something out of one of the CSRs today. He said that Pacific Digital was the one holding up payment on the rebates and Parago does not know when they will receive the funds. Has anyone received their $50 rebate on this deal?

luvya, I just completed the BB Fuji ebate at www.myrewards.info. #2 on my ebate form says you can send the original or copy of the store receipt. I sent them the original BB rebate receipt. If they say circle the item on the receipt then you must circled the item on the receipt you send them. This is a way they can trip you up and deny your rebate. I always circle the item, store name and the date on every receipt I send in for a rebate. I don't know what they mean by the original ebate form on #4. I sent them the online form I completed with all the details and the BB rebate form that printed at the register. Don't forget to sign the final rebate form that you printed online.

HaVoC, wheresmyrebate.com can be difficult to reach by phone on a Monday. Try Tuesday or later in the week.

Finally got my PNY $20.00 rebate from Labor Day 2001. Almost six months.
I persevered and finally got it. If I weren't persistent I would think that I would
never have gotten it.

I am still batting 1000 with my rebates. Currently my oldest is from Black Friday and it is due
sometime this month.

I just wrote a complaint letter to Staples Corporate regarding this latter rebate and two others that are
now overdue as per their rebate forms. Let's see what they say, if anything.
