I am so incredibly pissed at wheresmyrebate.com. They keep pushing the mail date back furthur and furthur. At least they could have the decency to lie to me or tell me they tried to send it or something. Now I just found out the "estimated" check date has nothing to do with the actual mail date. The actual mail date is a whole month later.

I can't believe this. There is no way in hell I'm ever buying a product with a TCA/New Rochelle rebate attached to it. 6-7 months for my $30 is just retarded.

My 10 dollar rebate from digital research for 50pk 32x cdr never came, thought only received BB 5 buck rebate a month ago. DR must sucks, thought I got every other rebates like imation and pny within 3-4 weeks. Now it's been over 2 month so I know it ain't coming.

Digital research and HiVal are now part of IOMagic. You will need to call them to get your rebate. It is the way they seem to work their rebates. I've had to call on both my rebates and within 2 weeks they came. Plus has it only been 2 months? They take much longer than that, usually 10-12 weeks I think. Check the rebate form and call the day after the rebate form states it's supposed to be paid. If you wait you probably won't receive it. Just my .02 from experience with this group.

I didn't participate in this rebate, but I did get in on the last one, the Bundle Up $150 rebate. That one took just under a month (from March 6th to April 3rd) to be processed, and I mailed it the day after I submitted online...and then I just got the check today (they said it was mailed on May 9th). I've done these Compaq rebates a couple times before, and they've always come through. Just be patient.

Received today 80GB Seagate $50 Fry's oem drive deal. I mailed it in on 2/25.... recieved 5/18
Rebate said 60 days to process... almost 90 to get here though... better late then never I guess!
Total price for drive now: $139 - $50 = $89! w00t!

I'm still waiting for my $30 ATI rebate for the Rage Pro card I bought at OD in December. TCA originally had an expected mail date of 4/27. When I called on 4/28 they said their webpage was wrong and the mail date was 5/27. Yesterday I filed a complaint with ATI HERE (click "rebate inquiry"). Right now both ATI and TCA suck.

A couple weeks ago Compusa ran a $20 rebate on a $30 Siemens Efficient Networks 5-port switch. Well there is no compusa in my area so i had a friend pick it up in chicago. He said he couldnt find the rebate, and I cant find it online. If someone has a copy of the rebate or knows of some way that i can still get a rebate Ill check back here, or email me.

And my best buy fujifilms $4.99 for a 50 pack rebates still arent in either.

Finally received my $5.00 Khypermedia CD rebate yesterday (5/18/02) after a phone call. It has been sitting out since January.

Have most of my rebates now. Only sitting on $31.00 with about $20.00 being very old. Have called re them and they are "being processed". Since I am so belligerent I know that with persistence I will get them too.

Started the whole thing all over again today. Final tally for today will be about $130.00 in rebates due from 6 different promotions. Deals were too good to pass up. With deal engineering will get some $200.00 merchandise for about $35.00.

Definitely list Staples as being the "defendant". They are the ones who induced you to purchase the item with their ads. The legal term is "fradulent inducement". If you write a letter to Staples Office of the President and list your case you will get action. They are on Staples Drive and I believe Framingham MA. You can get their address on Edgar.com. Since they are publicly held the have to file SEC reports every quarter and you can get their address from these.

Effective complaining will get results. Good luck to you.

TCA rebates suck. I have emailed, called and faxed them numerous times and they finally tell me today that the rebate is past the six month date that they can issue a check. Told me to get in contact with manufacturer.

Purchased Samsung 50 cdr from Compusa on 9/2/01
Sent in rebate on 9/9/01
Wait for the 6-8 weeks and see nothing.
Email 1 sent in. Nothing.
Two weeks later email 2 sent in. Nothing.
Called them in December and they said that I would get a check in 4 weeks. Waited four weeks. Nothing.
Called in january and told they are going to resubmit and wait 4-6 weeks. 4-6 weeks later, nothing.
Called in March and was told that I need to fax in copies and I did. Told wait 4 weeks for check. 4 weeks, nothing.
Called May 1 and they re-took all my info again and was told I would receive check in 7-10 business days. 7-10 days later, nothing.

Called today and I was told they couldn't honor my rebate. I went off on them and told them I have been trying to get the rebate for six months and have gotten the run around. Asked to speak to manager and he wasn't available. Asked for them to call me back. Not keeping my hopes up.

Filed a complaint with the BBB.

Is there anything else I can do?

MS Intellimouse optical wheeled mouse. Bought at BB B&M in March, 2002. $29.99 regular, special price $14.97 AND $15 BB rebate prints out AND $10 peel-off MS rebate. Called 1-800-849-0444 BB rebate center," just tell them that you have two rebates that both need the original UPC, and that you were told that BB would honor a copy of the UPC along with a note stating why". Did this. Sent original UPC to MS and copy to BB. Got $10 check from MS yesterday AND reject letter from BB saying "you must have original UPC". Called the 800 number and Sharon said you had to also include in the note the rebate number of the OTHER rebate. She looked it up for me - 22084 and said to send back copies of reject letter, UPC copy, and a note with the OTHER rebate number. ONE DOWN, ONE TO GO TO MAKE $10 ON A GOOD MOUSE.

optoman, bring all your rebate documentation to CompUSA B&M and explain to them. They are normally good at paying rebates in this type of situation. If you don't have a local CompUSA then call the CompUSA HQ rebate center. That number is listed in the second post in this thread.
