Does anyone have the scan of the ups for the CompUSA\Compaq 17" monitor from a few weeks ago? Mine was dusted along with several other jpg's!

Also, has anyone gotten any from the Antec Outpost.com 880 case deal?

Using a scan from someone else's purchase will not do you any good since Compaq requires you to send the entire product label not just the UPC. The label contains the UPC,Compaq part number, batch number and most important the serial number of the unit. Without all of these you are SOL

Received $29 from Aladdin for StuffIt 7.0; CompUSA sale on 3/3/02.

On interesting thing is that the rebate was for $29.99 but the check came in at $29.00. The $.99 isn't a big deal for me personally , but multiply that by several thousands sold and they save themselves quite a bit in the rebate process. Pretty sleazy IMHO.

Anyone received $100 rebate for the Toshiba Satellite 1005-S157 Laptop
(PS100U-0012HX) . This was the Celeron 1.0 (?), 14", 256MB, etc... deal from either Amazon.com or Staples (PM) or other
source thr. PM.

Mailed it 3/23/02 and it's been 8 weeks. Rebate says 6-8 weeks.

Update 5/28/02: Called the toll-free number that I had recorded for this rebate, & CSR said check was mailed.
LOL, checked my mail after lunch & there was the check! Woot!

Can someone help me identify the product for a $30 rebate check that I just received?

The envelope was from I/O magic and the check itself was from Digital Research Technologies.

Here's the only clue on the check itself: Promo Code 2531

I keep copies of everything but this doesn't correspond to any of my outstanding rebates.

Any ideas?

But I don't have that one on my list. I have received Hi-Tech, Fuji, PNY, TDK and PTI CD-R's however.

I did have a $30 rebate for the Digital Research 16X CD-RW drive from Best Buy's Black Friday sale but my records show this as being paid previously. Perhaps my records are incorrect or maybe they sent me two rebates?

$40 from Express Group for the Maxtor 40 gig (sent in december)
$20 from TCA (supposed to be $30 :| ) for Pacific Digital 24/10/40 (sent in February)
$20 from Parago for Dazzle 6 in 1 (sent in April)

it's amazing the difference in processing times

Had to write and call CompUSA corporate several times. Finally got it.

This leaves only 1 outstanding rebate due that is way past due. Not bad from about 40-60 rebates that I have done since last July.

Get This.....And Beware!
I received 2 Western Digital Rebate checks (my wife and myself) for the 120Gb hard drives purchased at Best Buy in March.
They are supposed to be for $100 each..........But the freaking checks were for $30!!! :disgust:
Printed on the checks was a notation that is was for a 40Gb Hard Drive Rebate?? What the heck? Everything I sent said 120Gb Hard Drive! Could this be happening to others? Or are we just the lucky ones? Oh, well..... I called BBY rebate center who put me in touch with WD who says they are filling out some form and that my original submissions will have to be found (which will take up to 30 more days!). At which time the additional $70 will be paid once they verify the mistake. What a crock of BULL! I told them I wasn't very happy with that response. I also stated that I had some other WD rebates now being processed and if this happened to them, I would be filing a complaint with the BBB.
If anyone else has this happen, please post or PM me so we can see if this is a simple mistake or some effort to delay the majority of the rebate money being paid.
