Regarding Circuit City CDR free after rebate sale, this one, that had 2 rebates one for $10 one for $15 that both went to young america but different PO Boxes, I just checked the status on the Circuit City website and only the $10 one is showing as submitted even though both were sent at the exact same time. Anybody still have a copy of the ad in case they try and screw us. I have all copies of rebate material. Thanks.

N/M both miraculously showing up on CC rebate status site now even though they went to the same center at the exact same time. We will see if both checks come as scheduled now.

Rebate $50 for Fry's Seagate OEM barracuda IV 7200 80gb.

Called for the third time, the second time was 3 weeks ago and they said the checks would be mailed out by that week.

Called today and the guy told me they had trouble generating the check.

-operator "We had trouble generating the check"
-me "you had trouble generating the rebate checks?"
-op "no, .... uh..... just yours"
-me "JUST MINE?!? What gives?"
-op "uhh.....(5 second pause) well we had trouble with yours and some others too"
-me "is there a reason for this delay?"

-me "i heard that already, just tell me when you can guarantee the check by"
-op "by the 31st of this month"
-me "and if I dont get it by then?"

Staples Rebate Question for anyone who can answer

(1)....I sent in Five seperate rebate envolopes to Staples HQ, Mcallen Tx. 2 weeks ago today. (There were five upcs and five envelopes).
3 of the rebates i submitted online, and the other 2 i simply send in with the rebate slip/reciept. Now i have been checking online for the past 2 weeks and my account only shows the 3 i submitted online but they say, Waiting for supporting documentation, and the other 2 i sent are not even on there. Does it usually take more than 2 weeks to get the "processing rebate" status or could my 5 envelopes be lost?

(2)....If they are lost, what can i do? I dont have the upcs but i do have my original Recipts

Mine show check number and should be here any time (10 to 15 days since somedays ago).
Date received is 6.13.2002.

However the MICRO WEBCAM is still showing processing...

Still waiting on the wheresmyrebate on the GF3 ti200 From Besty Buy's after Thanksgiving sale. Estimated Check mail date is Feb 26, 2002. Status is Approved. Called 4 weeks ago, was told the check was returned because the address was wrong (where did I hear that before???). CSR corrected the address, and said I should have it in 7-10 days. Still nothing.

I am in the same boat. CD-RW was just approved this week, and the web-cam is approved and down to 30 days of processing.
Got everything else already, including the Webster's Encyclopedia that went to the manufacturer, purchsed at the same time.
Of $480 worth of rebates I am just waiting on the $50 for the CDRW and $20 for the webcam...

and waiting, and waiting...

Yeah I finally got a check number now....says another 2-3 weeks to be received...you know I wouldn't bitch but i had some high expectations (first staples rebate) after ppl said you'd get it in 4-6 weeks...on this one its more like 8...which so far is the same as everyone else

Here's a RebatesHQ tip. If your rebate doesn't show up on the web site after putting in your name/zip, try calling them and using the automated phone system. All it asks for is your phone number, which works around any "typos" that may have occurred.

I had a $100 Officemax WD 120GB rebate that never came or showed up on the web site. However, the phone system said it was mailed a month ago. Armed with this information, the rep was able to "find" the rebate and noticed that my zip code had been entered incorrectly into the system. The check had come back undeliverable but they never bothered to track me down or send me an email. What a surprise!

They also kindly resent a rebate check from a few months ago that I misplaced. They could have easily told me I was out of luck...

Finally got my $50 ATI Radeon 8500 rebate from Best Buy that I submitted back in March. I had to call the rebate center last week and their response was, surprise surprise, "Your check was mailed yesterday." Uh huh.

I'm still waiting on my $60 rebate from Panasonic for a pair of FRS radios I submitted back in January. Can't find the copies I made of the materials

I've just about sworn off rebates. Seems I have to follow up on every rebate offer I submit.

Got my $40 Cendyne/rebadged Lite-On 32x CDRW drive rebate in the mail today. I bought it from Office Max instead of Staples though, still waiting on my Maestro $50 rebate Weird how both the rebates are from the same processing company at www.rebateshq.com, but the Maestro one is taking FOREVER to process.

Submitted a rebate for OfficeMax Cendyne 32x12x40 and I sent original UPC, original serial #, everything they wanted. Well, I've been checking the status every couple of days and I had submitted it over the internet early july, now I just finally got a status update on their website...except it shows that my UPC is invalid. I hope they didn't scan the wrong barcode (there are 3 barcodes on these if you count the Part #, UPC, and the Serial #). I just faxed a copy of my UPC & serial back to them tonight and am hoping that they will resolve the issue promptly. Whoever keyed it must have made a mistake - how frustrating!

I can't believe how hard these companies try to keep rebates that are $40+ out of my hands it seems, hoping that I ignore the fact that they are holding onto my money and forget that they are doing so. Sigh, rebates suck.

I recently sent in 5 different envelopes to staples on July 7th for 5 different rebates. 3 of the rebates i submitted online(send in print out and upc) while the other 2 were sent in (upc and rebate recipt).

Every day i have checked the status of my rebates and the tree i submitted online still say awaiting documentation, and the other 2 are still not listed. What gives???????? How long does it take for them to process the recipts and get them into the computer.

Im getting scared now and hope the mail wasnt lost. Another reason im scared is that the one rebate needed to be postmarked by July 15th and the others by August 8 plus i dont have any of the upcs anymore

Boy that was quick - my Cendyne OM Rebate now shows it's approved & processing Yay! Definitely fax the documents those of you who are having trouble - they fixed the problem very quickly.

What a bunch of crooks. I am having the same kind of problem with TCA pushing back the check mailing date. I just called them today on a $10 rebate for a Guillemot Sound card I bought from BB back in April. They said the vendor pushed the check date out another month. Did I say they are a bunch of weasels?

well...they denied my sis' and my $13 each on Kingston 256MB pc133 ..printed the webpages..copies of my copies(lol..don't trust none of them..) and the actual phreakin' original sales circular to OD (went to the b&m OD I hate the most..and its the closest..

) and got $26 back with rather small amt of hassle. Now back to TCA ..webstatus on my Feb GF3ti200 submission still showing "Denied" new even stupider reason...so a phone call (thanks Lanyap for the compiled list o' numbers..) was made ..holdtime 20minutes and the rep said "Shows approved here with mail date of Aug 12, 2k2" ... ..believe it when I see it. hmmm....2 parago rejection cards...off to Staples B&M I go..

So I got in on the deal where BB had a 50-pack of Fuji CD-Rs for $5 after MIR a few weeks back, and I just sat down to submit my rebate online through Fuji's rebate service. The online thing asks for a "Store Number", but since I ordered the CD-Rs from bestbuy.com, there is no store number. So uhhh...yeah. Any idea what I should put in for the Store Number? It's a required field on the rebate form. Thanks.
