For those of you that got in on the Staples Cendyne deal and Maxtor 40 GB and started the rebate process online, how long after you sent the paperwork does it appear online? It's been a few weeks now, and rebateshq still says awaiting paperwork, so I'm getting worried they lost it or something.

I just got my Office Max Imation rebate. The rebate was for 100 Imation CDR's. Bought them during the end of May, shipped the rebate off the same day, and just recieved the check today (end of August).

Just 3 months to get the rebate

I hear that! I'm not planning on any future rebate purchase from an outfit that does not have a toll free number. My Feb 2002 video card purchase from Fry's Electronics showed on the Wheresmyrebate site to be send around June - that's very late because the form says 6-8 weeks. I've placed 2 long distance calls and been told to call back. I've also filed a claim with the FTC.

Hey there:

Well I did the Staples Cendyne and Maxtor combo rebate thing. THe Cendyne was approved but the Maxtor was not...I checked it all out and all is Kosher. I scan everthing and have a copy to prove it is all in the right, however, I cannot get a hold of a talking person. All there is automated response with no choice to speak to someone....anyone know a way to talk to someone. I have tried the numbers listed but only automated. Also, is there an email address I could send them the scanned image...I have it in PDF format? It really sux that the burden is placed on the end user.

Could use a little help on this one...thanks guys...

Finally got the 2 $100.00 rebates for the Canon S9000 printer (Dell pricing mistake deal from June, $309).

Due: 7/25/02-8/02/02

Received: 8/26/02
Turnaround time: about 9 weeks.

This one was a bit strange...most of the Scottsdale, AZ rebates state 8 weeks as the delivery time, but the Canon rebate states" "Allow 4-6 weeks for delivery." I called up the rebate center a couple of times, and was told that the check was printed but there was no estimate for the mailing date. I told each rep that 6 weeks had already elapsed, and that I wanted my checks expedited, since they are overdue. They responded by telling me that there is nothing to expedite because "it hasn't been 8 weeks yet" (damn schmucks). So I asked for a supervisor on 8/22 and she gave me the original check numbers, and had my original checks voided (they can't cancel them; they will still mail the old checks, but they can't be cashed)...she told me that NEW checks would be issued, and I should receive them "in 10-12 days". To my surprise, today I received a Fedex OVERNIGHT letter today from Continental Promotions, with two $100.00 Canon checks inside.

Final cost $209 for each S9000

No more rebates outstanding, as of today. Ack...now I gotta send in that Toshiba 2GB HD rebate...back on the rebate treadmill :Q

My Kingston memory rebate was denied because it was not "postmarked" within 14 days of purchase. I bought the product Sunday July 28, the first day of the sale, and mailed the rebate Sunday August 11, 14 days later by my count. I have copies of everything, but I don't know when the post office postmarked it. Too bad for me.

Naturally the sale continued the rest of the week, and a rebate could be valid to August 17th, plus the promo date on the rebate goes to September 14, so this "qualification" is for the purpose of denying rebates. Maybe they get a bonus for every rebate unpaid?

I don't know what "date received: 08/26/2002" means. Maybe mail takes 15 days to get to McAllen Texas? I know it takes 56 days to mail a check.

Now the good news. I won't have to wait until October 11 to start worrying why they aren't sending me my rebate. What a relief!

Got $10 and $15 rebates from Circuit City for the 50pk CD-Rs sold on their website for $14.99 back in early July. Programs Y5328 and Y5308. In case anyone was wondering if they would come through with both. I'll take 50 cd-rs for free plus $10 in my pocket any day!

So whats going on with those PNY DDR rebates. WHy does it show the rebate is for $15 at rebateshq.com when it should be for $20. I sent them an email a week ago and got no response. Anybody else find anything out?? This was the one from best buy.

Got an email from parago about the PNY DDR rebate. THey said the rebate is for 15 and to fax them my proof that its for something else. Since I dont have a good fax machine I just emailed it to them. Hope to hear back soon will keep you updated.

For those of you who haven't sent in your Toshiba 2GB PCMCIA Hard Drive rebates, you must send in the Packing slip.

I checked my rebate with them tonight and they denied it. I guess the printout of the invoice from Gateway from the online store was not enough. Send in your Packing Slip!

I've emailed them. Hope to hear from them soon. Hoping...

Fuji 50 CDR pack from Best Buy 10 dollar MIR came in on August 25, 2002.

I bought the CDR and mailed in rebate in early August. SO FAST!!!

I went through the online registration for this rebate that is described in this thread. Someone said you get your rebate faster if you do it this way and it looks like they were right.
