Has anyone submitted the rebates for the amazon cell phone deals about two months back? Specifically the rebate concerning the samsung r225.

I just checked rebatestatus.com and it says that I had a invalid upc.. umm I know I had the right upc I've got it right here. The thing is there was a
sticker over the original upc covering it to make a new upc. Is this something amazon did? Because I think that's what it is.

It seems Amazon are having some issues with their rebates...First the Addtron coupons that are being "outsourced" from one rebate company to another, now this UPS busines...I guess raising the issue with Amazon is a lost cause anyway. Bummer :-(

Bought a K-Byte RAM for roughly $50 @ BestBuy in August. There are 2 rebates - one's $25 handled by KByte, and the other's $40 handled by BB. Since I pricematched to Staples to get the lower price, the cashier was being a bitch and threw the rebate form away. I didn't think it's a big deal and printed the $40 rebate form off BestBuy's website.

Got a letter from BB saying my rebate is rejected yesterday. Called the rebate center and was told if I made purchase from store I MUST use the rebate form generated from the register. Told the guy I lost the form and that's why I used the online form and he said I should've gone back to the store and got another one. Haven't heard this kind of bullSh!t for quite a while. Got his supervisor on the phone and was told the same crap. Before hanging up she pointed me to this Link at BB's website that states:

"Can I find a rebate form for in-store purchases in the Rebate Center?

The Rebate Center contains mail-in rebates for products that can be purchased online. If your recent purchase originated in a Best Buy store, please bring your receipt to any Best Buy store. A Best Buy representative at the Customer Service counter can provide you with the appropriate form to mail."

which does NOT say I can not use the online form for a in-store purchase at all. Besides, the message above is under FAQ, not at the page where I downloaded and printed the form and how could I have known?? Normally BB's very good at rebates but not this time...

Have any of you guys ran into this kind of problem before??
Any suggestion or thoughts are appreciated!!

I've always used the rebate receipt for that kind of stuff, but there is no reason that they shouldn't have accepted the online form. That's wierd why even place the form online anyway.

As for my samsung r225 rebate, I emailed them about the rejected upc, and they emailed back saying that they have a valid rebate for me. Which is wierd since online it says they don't so we will see if they send the check.

News are getting even worse for the Amazon Addtron Wireless USB deal, I am now told by Rebatestatus.com that they haven't received my paperwork when they told me last week that it had been forwarded to that other company ?!
I'm surprised no one else has complained about this.

Just got my $65 for PNY 256MB PC2100 DDR-SDRAM from (Office Depot deal8-28-02 thru 9-1-02) Rebate Center. It was one of those official looking tear the edges to open thingies. My wife said" Your rebate came, we can put it back on the credit card.
Exactly, keep that CC ready for more AnandTech Hot dealzzzz!!! Also made them PM down to online price plus I used the 20 off of 50 that was going around. Ended up making $18.00 dollars to take the ram off their hands. Thank you AnandTech Hot Deals!!!

dont know if it was express group ... but i got 30 dollars from a check that says office depot. rebateshq says my other rebate is in progress. this is looking good. =)

Well after I submitted complaints to the Attorney Generals of Texas and California, as well as BBBs of both states, for the QPS/Compusa DVD-Ram $100 Rebate fiasco,
I received the $100 check yesterday.
I hope it doesnt bounce.

This is btw for a DVD-Ram that I bought on March 08, 2002. 7 months turnaround --- supposedly one of the best for qps....

Looks like CompUSA/TCA/New Rochelle may be getting their act together. Just got $15 for GlobalStar Mahjong purchased on 9/1/02. The email ack was sent on 9/19/02 and the check arrived a month later for a total of about 6 weeks. Not bad especially since the web site has the expected check arrival slated for 11/19 - a whole month early !

Anybody get rejected for an 8/29-9/02 Crucial DDR2100 $30 rebate from Best Buy? BB says its a mfg's rebate, rejection letter was from Watts NCH Promotional Services Ltd. (location/phone number unknown). BB referred me to Crucial, who said they would call NCH and tell them to pay. Looks like another 8 weeks!

Received Philips Dept CDR02110 $14 for 100pk cd-rs from Best Buy offered 07/21-07/27. (These were free after $14 Philips and $5 BB rebates - BB rebate came in 3 weeks.)

Mailed 7/25 supposed to be 8 wk turnaround. Did have to check by phone twice, but it finally came.

I work for Digital River, we are an e-commerce company for over 32,000 software vendors and authors including big names as Symantec and McAfee, I am surprised by how many people have rebate forms filled out and on the rebate it clearly lists Symmantec's address in OR and they send it to us in MN.

) back on track..rejected(due to post office sending my mailed submission back to my mailbox w/out a postmark..fiasco..) on my WalledLake $30 Maxtor 40GB MIR but the parago crew processing my $30 Maxtor 40GB from OD ..Kingston 128MB pc133 thru parago ..OM MIR back on track as well for $15..been a rough week..
