I just purchased a new 2005 Chevy Van.
It came equipped with a DVD entertainment system and is compatible with wireless headphones. Unfortunately, the headphones arent included. I checked with the dealers parts dept and they want $165.00 for each wireless headphone. So, I went last week to RS and picked up two of these (seperate receipts) and one warranty. Work great on my new van and the kids are happy.

curious..
i was just wondering if there's something of a audio hub sorta thing..

my sound card is plugged in to my speakers now and there is no headphone jack on the speakers.. so if I want to plug in my headphones, I would need to reach in the back of my computer.. which can get quite annoying..

is there anything like a audio out hub?

u know when u see infrared and wireless, u'll have a bad combination, especially when you're not gauranteed direct line of sight.

I got a pair of these, good for the price but theres a constant hiss that's quite annoying but I'm the type that wants my mp3s at higher bitrates than 128 cuz I value sound quality a lot. You don't need direct line of sight you just need to be within maybe 10-15 feet of the transmitter without anything too solid in your way i.e. a cement wall.

I've got these too... The sound quality is ok as long as you are within a few feet (~6-10 feet) of the transmitter. They are perfect for my needs.

I just wanted somethng so that I could play games and listen to mp3's without disturbing my wife in the next room. They work well in that regard.

I'd say that the quality on these is a below average... but I never get too far away from the transmitter.

i've got a pair of infared wireless headphones and i have no problems.....i dont even need a line of site most of the time....crazy signals bouncing all around

edit: my headphones rnt these kind....but they did cost just as much wtihout the price cut and are around 2 years old

i got one of those too and couldn't stand the hissing and low sound quality...
My $.02, if you want to use those for some you enjoy, get some seinheiser RS xx for around $50 and you won't regret having waisted time and $ on those....

For what it's worth...

I got a pair of RCA 900mhz non-IR for only $30 at Big Lots the other day. Wal-mart has them too, but they were more like $50 there. From everything I read about them everyone said stay away from IR unless you're just sitting right in front of the receiver all the time. I love the set I bought....
