I have the sony trv330 and it really rocks... Im going to film the start of the Iditarod in the morning! It has firewire in/out as well as rca in/out for easy transfer to your computer. The digital 8 is a good format to capture on, not the best but older 8mm tapes will play on it also. The night vision is fun to play with, it works way better than i thought it would. The only bad thing is the still photo's on the memory stick... 640x480 max, somebody from sony should be shot for that one... The trv130 is the same camera without the memory stick option, a better deal if you ask me
Also you can input video into the rca inputs, run it through the 330 and out the firewire to your computer to capture video. It makes my ATI AIW128 look like a kids toy for video capture. Make sure you have some hard drive space if you want to do that, 4 gig for 20 minutes, ouch
