I'm looking for an FTP server for my debian box that can support virtual users, disable anonymous logon, and change the port. Also I want it to NOT use local system users, as I will be using this ftp server online, and letting any local user log in externally is a big security risk. ex: root. I want to be able to create accounts that are specific to ftp only.
I can't seem to find such ftp server so if anyone can recomend me one it would be great.
Also, I don't want it to get complicated. Ex: I was looking at vsftpd, but then you need pam, and need some other stuff, just to use virtual users, and the documentation specificly says that it does not cover that and to do own research, so sounds like it would get complicated for nothing.
