I want a tablet just for reading comic books, angry birds, simple stuff, I prefer android op system and at least 7"...any suggestions?
Nexus 7 at $200. Anything else cheaper really isn't worth it considering how vastly superior the Nexus 7 is for probably not much more.
One of my daughters got a Fire for Christmas, and I was sort of leaning that way for a cheapy tablet. The Nexus 7 looks better, but why does it have such a wide bezel top and bottom? Looks to me like the Fire has about half that much.
OK, at the risk of getting flogged, I got a Uniden (Chinese) 7" tablet for my son for Christmas. It works well; has Ice Cream Sammich on it, 1gb memory, 4gb internal storage, and a microSD slot (I threw a 16gb sd in it that I had laying around). He watches Youtube junk on it, Netflix, and plays a bunch of games he got out of Google Play.... $59.... And it does it all fairly well... Don't know how long it will last
My Nook magazine subscriptions are on it, I read Kindle books on it, I use it for Google Currents/feed reader, and browse the web a bit. It serves me great during extended reserve training when will play games on it and my PC is obviously not with me.
Dunno what obscure titles OP may read, but the Nook store seems to have a much better graphic e-novel selection than Amazon. If the main reason is for comics, I think Fire HD or Nook HD are also contenders.
