Yes you can, ebay Rolex 16013, plenty under $3k. As I said above, it depends on the year, these models are in the mid to late 80's just as mine was.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm thinking he doesn't want to go the used route, but I think I can land an omega or tag in my budget, and a few of those other suggestions are stunners too, keep the suggestions coming!

3k will buy a pretty decent computer, and it will have a clock! You will even be able to sync it with a NTP server. Try to do THAT with a Rolex.

Always go try a watch in person IMHO, you want to see how it looks on your wrist.
